Instrument Panel Steering Column Shroud Lower (Remove and Replace)

 Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the steering column upper shroud. See Instrument Panel Steering Column Shroud Upper (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the steering column lower shroud to the steering column, and then slide the shroud up to remove it from the vehicle.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 1450424-00-A - SET, 1/2" CUT BIT. (78 PCS DOUBLE END MINI RATCHET)
    • Digital Torque Screwdriver 0.10Nm - 2.0Nm

Install

  1. Position the steering column lower shroud onto the steering column, and then install the screws (x2) that attach the steering column lower shroud to the steering column.
    1.35 Nm (1.0 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 1450424-00-A - SET, 1/2" CUT BIT. (78 PCS DOUBLE END MINI RATCHET)
    • Digital Torque Screwdriver 0.10Nm - 2.0Nm
  2. Install the steering column upper shroud. See Instrument Panel Steering Column Shroud Upper (Remove and Replace).
