Tuned Mass Damper (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Bolts (X2) secure tuned mass damper to liftgate
9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)
  • 10 mm socket
  • Ratchet/torque wrench
 Reuse

Remove

  1. Open liftgate.
  2. Remove liftgate upper trim. See Liftgate Upper Trim (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove liftgate lower trim from liftgate assembly. See Liftgate Lower Trim (Remove and Replace).
  4. Disconnect liftgate trim connector.
  5. Remove tuned mass damper from liftgate.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench

Install

  1. Install tuned mass damper onto liftgate.
    3.5 Nm (2.6 lbs-ft)

  2. Connect liftgate trim connector.
  3. Install liftgate lower trim to liftgate assembly. See Liftgate Lower Trim (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install liftgate upper trim. See Liftgate Upper Trim (Remove and Replace).
  5. Close liftgate.
