Liftgate Extension Harness (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the liftegate lower trim. See Liftgate Lower Trim (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove the tuned mass damper. See Tuned Mass Damper (Remove and Replace).
  3. Remove the LH and RH spoiler side covers. See Side Cover Spoiler - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Remove the spoiler Outer Panel. See Spoiler Outer Panel (Remove and Replace).
  5. Disconnect the liftgate handle switch connector.
  6. Disconnect the rear facing camera connector.
  7. Disconnect the liftgate tail lamp assembly connector.
  8. Disconnect harness liftgate extension connectors.
  9. Remove the harness clip from the liftgate tail lamp assembly.
  10. Remove harness liftgate extension from liftgate assembly.

    Note
    Observe grommet installed orientation and harness routing on both inner and outer sides of liftgate.

Install

  1. Insert harness liftgate extension onto liftgate and install grommet.

    Install grommet in same orientation as removed position in order to ensure correct harness routing without binding.
  2. Connect harness liftgate extension connectors.
  3. Install harness clip to liftgate tail lamp assembly.
  4. Connect liftgate tail lamp assembly connector.
  5. Connect liftgate handle switch connector.
  6. Install trinity camera bracket onto liftgate lamp assembly.
  7. Install the spoiler outer panel. See Spoiler Outer Panel (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the LH and RH spoiler side covers. See Side Cover Spoiler - LH (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the tuned mass damper. See Tuned Mass Damper (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the liftegate lower trim. See Liftgate Lower Trim (Remove and Replace).
