LIFTGATE HANDLE (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the rear facing camera. See Camera - Rear Facing (Remove and Replace).
  2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the handle.
  3. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the liftgate handle to the liftgate, and then remove the handle from the vehicle.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
    • Ratchet/torque wrench

Install

  1. Position the handle and loosely install the bolts (x2) that attach the liftgate handle to the liftgate.
    0.8 Nm (7 lbs-in)

    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  2. Connect the electrical connector to the handle.
  3. Close the liftgate to check gap/flush and, if necessary, perform adjustments.
  4. Install the rear facing camera. See Camera - Rear Facing (Remove and Replace).
