Replace

Remove

  1. Remove the mid aero shield panel. See Aero Shield - Middle (Remove and Replace).
  2. Remove and discard the nut that attaches the LH rear drop link to the LH rear stabilizer bar.

    Loosen the nut first, and then continue to remove the nut by counter-holding the ball joint with a hex wrench.

    Might need to move the rear stabilizer bar up/down to get the correct angle in order to remove the drop link.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 5 mm hex
    • 15 mm combination flex head wrench
    • 15 mm socket
    • Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
  3. Remove and discard the nut that attaches the LH rear stabilizer bar link to the LH rear knuckle.

  4. Remove the LH rear drop link from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Position the LH rear drop link to the vehicle.
  2. Install and tighten a new nut that attaches the LH stabilizer bar link to the LH rear knuckle.
    55 Nm (40.6 lbs-ft)

    Counter-hold the ball joint with a 5 mm hex wrench.

    Mark the nut with a paint pen after installation.

  3. Install and tighten a new nut that attaches the LH rear drop link to the LH rear stabilizer bar.
    55 Nm (40.6 lbs-ft)

  4. Install the mid aero shield panel. See Aero Shield - Middle (Remove and Replace).
