DC Charge Port Latch Stick - GB (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

Remove

  1. Remove the charge port assembly. See Charge Port - GB (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove HV insulating gloves.
  3. Pull and hold the manual release cable to release the actuator.
  4. Remove screws securing actuator to charge port assembly.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
  5. Turn over 30 degrees to take out the actuator from charge port assembly.
  6. Remove DC latch stick o-ring from charge port assembly.

    Note
    Discard after removal.
  7. Rotate to release DC charge port latch stick from actuator.

Install

  1. Apply efficient amount of lubricant to latch stick and o-ring.
  2. Rotate to install DC charge port latch stick to actuator.
  3. Install new DC latch stick o-ring onto charge port assembly.

    Do not damage o-ring.
  4. Position actuator onto charge port assembly.

    Note
    Gently push actuator, make sure there is no gap between actuator and charge port.
  5. Install screws securing actuator to charge port assembly.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
  6. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves.
  7. Install the charge port assembly. See Charge Port - GB (Remove and Install).
