Cooling System (Partial Refill and Bleed) (Modify)

Procedure

Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including a full face mask when performing this procedure.
  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  3. On the touchscreen, touch Service Mode > Thermal > Actions > Start Thermal Fill/Drain and select Run to start the routine.

    Note
    This routine has a 5-hour limit. After 5 hours, this routine must be performed again.
  4. Remove the HEPA filter. See HEPA FILTER (Remove and Replace).
  5. Remove the coolant bottle cap.
  6. Fill the coolant to the proper level.

    Note
    Ensure that the coolant level is at the "Max" line.
  7. Inspect the coolant level and top off as necessary, and then install the coolant bottle cap.

  8. Install the HEPA filter. See HEPA FILTER (Remove and Replace).
  9. On the touchscreen, touch Service Mode > Thermal > Actions > Stop Thermal Fill/Drain and select Run to start the routine.
  10. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  11. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
