REAR DRIVE UNIT INVERTER TO OIL COOLER (Remove and Replace)

  • 1135762-00-A Kit, Svc Plug, Cooling Hose, Model 3
  • 1065131-00-A Battery Coolant Drain Kit

Remove

  1. Release 4DU inverter to oil cooler hose from in between LH motor mount See LEFT HANDS MOUNT - 4DU (Remove and Install).
  2. Release clips securing 4DU inverter to oil cooler hose.
  3. Release inverter to oil cooler hose from heat exchanger and allow hose end to drain.

    Note
    If the coolant loss is greater then 1L, vacuum fill will be required. See Cooling System - Vacuum Refill.
  4. Remove rear drive unit ground cable clip from subframe.
  5. Route inverter to oil cooler hose out and remove from vehicle.

Install

  1. Position inverter to oil cooler hose for installation.
  2. Secure rear drive unit ground strap clip onto subframe.
  3. Secure clips for the 4DU inverter to oil cooler hose.
  4. Remove plugs and secure inverter to cooler hose to inverter.

    Note
    Re-secure clip if it detached from hose, Engage hose and verify the hose is fully and properly secured, Perform push-pull-push test.
  5. Install bolts securing LH mount assembly to the vehicle. See LEFT HANDS MOUNT - 4DU (Remove and Install).
