Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - RH (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove RH C-pillar lower trim. See GUID-0D6BFA19-3FC6-40AE-9434-BBC410C1F2B4.html.
  2. Move RH seat to original position.
  3. Fold 2nd row RH seatback down.
  4. Remove RH seat outboard track cover.

    Note
    Slide cover forward to release from RH seat track.
  5. Remove center track cover from 2nd row seats.

    Slide covers forward to release from 2nd row seat tracks.
  6. Release cabin carpet from RH seat.

    Note
    Pull cabin carpet towards front of vehicle.
  7. Remove bolts securing RH seat podium to vehicle.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket

    Note
    Discard bolts after removal.
  8. Move RH seat forward using towel bar.

    Note
    With one hand on towel bar pull up and slide the seat forward with your other hand.
  9. Remove bolts securing RH seat inner and outer tracks to vehicle.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket

    Note
    Discard bolts after removal.
  10. Move RH seat fully rearward using towel bar.
  11. Disconnect 2nd row RH seat connector.

    Newer models may have red locking tab.
  12. Remove RH seat from vehicle.

    Recommend assistance. Do not support RH seat by cushion pan, support RH seat by podium.

    Note
    If seat that is not being replaced does not have ISOFIX flag for child locks, the seat cover will also require replacement.

Install

  1. Install RH seat into vehicle.

    Recommend assistance, Do not support RH seat by cushion pan, support RH seat by podium.
  2. Connect 2nd row RH seat connector.

    Note
    Newer models may have red locking tab.
  3. Install bolts securing RH seat podium to vehicle hand tight.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket

    Note
    Install new bolts, and torque at later step.
  4. Move RH seat forward using towel bar.

    With one hand on towel bar pull up and slide the seat forward with your other hand.
  5. Install bolts securing RH seat inner and outer tracks to vehicle.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)

    • 11 mm socket

    Note
    Install new bolts.
  6. Move RH seat to original position.
  7. Install cabin carpet to RH seat.
  8. Torque bolts securing RH seat podium to vehicle.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)

    • 11 mm socket
  9. Install center track cover to 2nd row seats.

    Note
    Slide cover straight on to clip to 2nd row seat tracks.
  10. Install RH seat outboard track cover.
  11. Position RH seat into easy entry mode.

    Note
    Press shoulder switch and push RH seat forward to position into easy entry mode.
  12. Install RH C-pillar lower trim. See GUID-0D6BFA19-3FC6-40AE-9434-BBC410C1F2B4.html.
  13. Unlock vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).

  18. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  19. Close all four doors.
