Remove
- Open both front doors and lower both front windows.
- On the touchscreen, tap , and use the left scroll wheel to adjust the steering column fully outward and fully downward.
- Move both front seats backward.
- Disconnect the LV battery power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Remove the LH air wave duct. See Instrument Panel - RHD - Air Wave Duct - Left (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH upper A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the steering column control module. See Steering Column Control Module (Remove and Install).
- Remove the RH instrument panel end cap. See Instrument Panel - End Cap - Substrate - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the driver footwell duct. See Instrument Panel - Driver Footwell Duct - RHD (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the steering column lower gap hider. See Instrument Panel - Steering Column Gap Hider - Lower - RHD (Remove and Replace).
- Tape the instrument panel area around the steering column assembly.
- Remove the RH upper A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the touchscreen and its neck. See Center Screen - Neck (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the float wing. See Instrument Panel - Top Pad (Remove and Replace).
- If equipped, release the ETC connector.
- Remove the wrap around assembly. See Wrap Around - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH and RH instrument panel speakers. See Speaker - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the center instrument panel speaker. See Audio Speakers - Audio Speaker Full Range 100MM - Center (Remove and Replace).
- Release the instrument panel speaker harnesses from the tabs (x2).

Disconnect the passenger airbag
connector.
NoteLift the white tab to release the connector.

Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that
attach the instrument panel carrier to the cross car beam near the passenger
airbag.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- External Torx E10
- Disconnect the instrument panel harness connector from the instrument panel LH side.

Remove the screw that attaches the
instrument panel carrier to the cross car beam on the upper LH side.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit

Remove the screws (x7) that attach the
instrument panel carrier to the cross car beam.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit

Remove the screw that attaches the
instrument panel carrier to the cross car beam on the upper RH side.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit
- Disconnect the instrument panel harness connector from the instrument panel RH side.
- Install a shop rag onto the center display bracket.
- With assistance, release the tabs and remove the instrument panel upper carrier assembly from the vehicle.
Install

With assistance, engage the tabs to
install the instrument panel upper carrier to the vehicle.
NoteTake care not to clamp the instrument panel harness.
- Remove the shop rag from the center display bracket.
- Connect the instrument panel harness connector to the instrument panel RH side.

Install the screw that attaches the
instrument panel carrier to the cross car beam on the upper LH side.2.3 Nm (1.7 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T20 bit

Install the screws (x7) that attach

Install the screw that attaches the
instrument panel carrier to the cross car beam on the upper RH side.2.3 Nm (1.7 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:

- Connect the instrument panel harness connector to the instrument panel LH side.

Install new bolts (x2) to attach the
instrument panel carrier to the cross car beam near the passenger airbag.8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- External Torx E10

Connect the passenger airbag
connector.
NoteMake sure a click sound is audible, which indicates that the connector is fully seated.
- Install the instrument panel speaker harnesses to the tabs (x2).
- Install the LH and RH instrument panel speakers. See Speaker - Instrument Panel - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the center instrument panel speaker. See Audio Speakers - Audio Speaker Full Range 100MM - Center (Remove and Replace).
- Install the wrap around assembly. See Wrap Around - Instrument Panel (Remove and Replace).
- If equipped, connect the ETC connector.
- Install the float wing. See Instrument Panel - Top Pad (Remove and Replace).
- Install the touchscreen and its neck. See Center Screen - Neck (Remove and Replace).
- Install the RH upper A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the tapes from the instrument panel area, and clean the work area.
- Install the steering column lower gap hider. See Instrument Panel - Steering Column Gap Hider - Lower - RHD (Remove and Replace).
- Install the driver footwell duct. See Instrument Panel - Driver Footwell Duct - RHD (Remove and Replace).
- Install the RH instrument panel end cap. See Instrument Panel - End Cap - Substrate - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the steering column control module. See Steering Column Control Module (Remove and Install).
- Install the LH upper A-pillar trim. See Trim - A-Pillar - Upper - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the LH air wave duct. See Instrument Panel - RHD - Air Wave Duct - Left (Remove and Install).
- Connect the LV battery power. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect).
- Move both front seats to original position.
- On the touchscreen, tap , and use the left scroll wheel to adjust the steering column back to original position.
- Raise both front windows and close both front doors.
