Retractor - Seatbelt - LH - 3rd Row Seat (7-Seat) (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Disconnect LV battery and first responder loop. See LV Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
  2. Remove 3rd row LH seat cushion bolster. See GUID-ED915A40-010C-4826-8D6D-849C92344E94.html.
  3. Remove bolt securing 3rd row LH seat belt retractor to seat frame assembly.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 11 mm socket

    Note
    Discard bolt after removal.
  4. Remove rear load floor.
  5. Remove 3rd row LH back panel from LH seatback assembly.

    Note
    10x clips, 2x guide hooks, once cover clips are disengaged, slide back panel up and away from 3rd row seat for full removal.
  6. Remove 3rd row LH headrest.

    Note
    Depress guide button, Insert pick into guide opening, Lift headrest upwards and remove.
  7. Remove 3rd row LH adjustment guide from LH headrest closeout panel.

    Note
    Release detent tab at rear of seat, then pry adjustment guide upwards to release from seat.
  8. Remove 3rd row RH adjustment guide from LH headrest closeout panel.

    Note
    Release detent tab at rear of seat while prying adjustment guide upwards.
  9. Remove 3rd row LH headrest closeout panel from LH backrest.

    Note
    Lift upward to remove LH headrest closeout panel.
  10. Remove 3rd row LH shoulder switch from LH backrest.
  11. Remove 3rd row LH escutcheon from LH backrest.
  12. Remove fasteners (x2) securing 3rd row LH backrest to LH seatback assembly.

  13. Release clips securing 3rd row LH backrest to LH seatback assembly.

    Note
    Push clips in to remove from frame.
  14. Remove 3rd row LH backrest from LH seatback assembly.
  15. Remove 3rd row LH seat belt retractor from LH seatback assembly.

    Note
    Discard bolt after removal.

Install

  1. Install 3rd row LH seat belt retractor to LH seatback assembly.
    45 Nm (33.2 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T50 socket

    Note
    Install new bolt.
  2. Install 3rd row LH backrest to LH seatback assembly.
  3. Install fasteners securing 3rd row LH backrest to LH seatback assembly.
    2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)

    • Torx T25 socket
  4. Install 3rd row LH escutcheon into LH backrest.
  5. Install 3rd row LH shoulder switch into LH backrest.
  6. Install 3rd row LH closeout panel into LH backrest.
  7. Install 3rd row RH adjustment guide into LH closeout panel.
  8. Install 3rd row LH adjustment guide into LH closeout panel.
  9. Install 3rd row LH headrest.

    Depress adjustment guides during installation.
  10. Install 3rd row LH back panel to LH seatback assembly.
  11. Install rear load floor.
  12. Install bolt securing 3rd row LH seat belt retractor to seat frame assembly.
    37 Nm (27.3 lbs-ft)
