AC Cable Kit - Charge Port (GB)(Model YL) (Remove and Replace)

  1. Remove the trunk tub. See Trunk Tub (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  2. Move the LH front seat forward, and adjust the seat back if needed to avoid contacting the headliner.
  3. Remove the 2nd row LH seat. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Install).
  4. Move the 2nd row RH seat forward, and adjust the seat back if needed.
  5. Perform the charge port voltage check. See Charge Port Voltage Check.
  6. Remove the trunk side trim assembly. See Trunk Side Trim - LH (Model Y L) (Remove and Replace).
  7. Remove the LH 3rd row duct B section. See Duct - B Section - 3rd Row - Upper - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  8. Remove the LH lower B-pillar trim. See Trim - B-Pillar - Lower - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install an inflatable air bag to support the LH rear cabin carpet to provide enough space to remove the busbar bolt.
  10. Put on HV insulating gloves and leather over gloves.
  11. Disconnect the charge port AC cable kit from the HV header.

    Release the red locking tab and rotate the lever arm to disconnect the connector.
  12. Disconnect the charge port logic connector.

    Carefully remove the white locking tab outward, and then depress the black tab to release the logic connector.
  13. Release the dual-step locking tab, and then disconnect the charge port AC cable kit from the charge port.
  14. Release the zip-ties and clips to remove the charge port AC cable kit from the vehicle.

    Remove the harness through the gap between the vehicle body and the busbar.

Install

  1. Use the zip-ties and clips to secure the charge port AC cable kit into the vehicle.

    Note
    Route the cables through the gap between the vehicle body and the busbar. Secure the zip-ties over the white-marked locations on the harness.
  2. Connect the charge port AC cable kit onto the charge port, and secure the dual-step locking tab.
  3. Connect the charge port logic connector.

    Fully engage the connector, and then install the white locking tab.
  4. Connect the charge port AC cable kit to the HV header.

    Rotate the lever arm and secure the locking tab.
  5. Remove the HV insulating gloves.
  6. Remove the inflatable air bag from the LH rear cabin carpet.
  7. Install the LH lower B-pillar trim. See Trim - B-Pillar - Lower - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  8. Install the LH 3rd row duct B section. See Duct - B Section - 3rd Row - Upper - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
  9. Install the trunk side trim assembly. See Trunk Side Trim - LH (Model Y L) (Remove and Replace).
  10. Install the 2nd row LH seat. See Seat Assembly - 2nd Row - LH (Model YL) (Remove and Install).
  11. Move the RH 2nd row seat to original position.
  12. Raise the RH rear window and close the RH rear door.
  13. Install the trunk tub. See Trunk Tub (Model YL) (Remove and Replace).
