Tie Down Rod (Remove and Replace)

Torque Specifications

 Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the trunk rucket bracket. See Pocket Bracket - LH (Remove and Replace).
  2. Partially remove the LH trunk side trim to gain access to the charge port ECU, and disconnect the connector.
  3. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH tie down rod to the body.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket

Install

  1. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the LH tie down rod to the body.
    12 Nm (8.8 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  2. Connect the connector and install the LH trunk side trim.
  3. Install the trunk rucket bracket. See Pocket Bracket - LH (Remove and Replace).
