Surround - Phone Dock - Center Console (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Remove the U-shape panel assembly. See Side Panel - Rear - LH - Center Console (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install).
  2. Move the front seats forward and tilt the front seatbacks forward.
  3. Remove the screws (x6) that attach the rear end module assembly to the center console assembly.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 bit
    • Digital Torque Screwdriver 0.10Nm - 2.0Nm
  4. Release the tabs (x2) that attach the rear end module to the center console assembly.

    CAUTION
    Do not pull the module too far from the center console, as the rear end module connector is still attached.
  5. Disconnect the rear end module connector, rotate the module to access and release the tabs (x2) that attach the center console harness to the module, and then remove the module from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Connect the rear end module connector, and then rotate the module to access and install the tabs (x2) that attach the center console harness to the module.

    Note
    Route the electrical harness around the fastener mount.
  2. Install the tabs (x2) that attach the rear end module to the center console assembly.
  3. Install the screws (x6) that attach the rear end module assembly to the center console assembly
    1.2 Nm (.9 lbs-ft)

  4. Move the front seats back to their original position.
  5. Install the U-shape panel assembly. See Side Panel - Rear - LH - Center Console (Model Y Standard) (Remove and Install).
