Remove
- Remove the rear fascia assembly. See GUID-FF55B6F8-E257-4E77-B06D-3511D38E1426.html.
- Disconnect the trailer hitch harness connector.

Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the trailer hitch plug to the hitch assembly.
NoteRoute the harness through the bracket.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T25 bit
- Wiha Torque Screwdriver 0.8-5 Nm screwdriver (installation only)

Disconnect the trailer hitch controller connectors (x2).
NotePull the yellow tabs first.
- Remove the clips (x4) to remove the trailer hitch jumper harness from the hitch assembly.
Install
- Install the clips (x4) to attach the trailer hitch jumper harness to the hitch assembly.
- Connect the trailer hitch controller connectors (x2).

Install the bolts (x3) that attach the trailer hitch plug to the hitch assembly.2.5 Nm (1.8 lbs-ft)NoteRoute the harness through the bracket.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T25 bit

- Connect the trailer hitch harness connector.
