Remove
- Remove the LH front drive unit mount. See Front Drive Unit Assembly - Left Hand Mount Assembly - 3DU (RI).
- Move a coolant catcher under the front subframe and fixture assembly.

Release the spring clip that attaches the front drive unit inverter outlet
hose to the 90 degrees fluid coupling.
NoteUse a foldable funnel as required.

Release the spring clip that
attaches the front drive unit inverter inlet hose to the 90 degrees fluid
coupling.
NoteUse a foldable funnel as required.
- Remove the coolant catcher from under the front subframe and fixture assembly.

Remove and discard the screw
that attaches the front drive unit 90 degree fluid coupling to the drive
inverter, and then remove the fluid coupling from the vehicle.
NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T30 socket
Install

Position the front drive unit 90 degree fluid coupling to the drive
inverter, and then install a new screw that attaches the fluid coupling to
the vehicle.6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)NoteCheck the O-ring, and if it is damaged, replace the fluid coupling.NoteUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Torx T30 socket

Secure the spring clip that attaches the front drive unit inverter outlet
hose to the 90 degrees fluid coupling.
NotePerform a pull-push-pull test to verify the coupling is fully seated.

hose to the 90 degrees fluid coupling.
