Camera - Side Repeater - LH (Remove and Replace)

Whenever a camera has been moved out of its original position (for example, a camera or windshield replacement), camera calibration data must be cleared using the vehicle touchscreen: Controls > Service > Camera Calibration > Clear Calibration.

Reuse

Install

  1. Position the LH front side repeater camera on the side repeater assembly, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the camera to the side repeater assembly.

    Wiggle the camera o-ring through the side repeater assembly, and then install the bolts that attach the camera to the side repeater assembly.

    TIp
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T8 bit
    • Ratchet/torque wrench
  2. Install the LH front side repeater assembly. See LAMP - SIDE REPEATER CAMERA - LEFT HAND (Remove and Install).
  3. Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
  4. On the touchscreen, tap Driver Assist > Cameras > Clear Camera Calibration, select Repeaters from the Camera Selection drop-down menu, and click Run.
  5. In Toolbox, click on the Actions tab, search for "DAS", and then Run the PROC_DAS_X_ENTER-CALIBRATION-MODEvia Toolbox: (link) routine.
  6. In Toolbox, click on the Actions tab, search for "Side repeater", and then Run the PING-HTTP_DAS_L_REPEATER-CAMERA-SCRIPTvia Toolbox: (link)routine.
  7. In Toolbox, click on the Actions tab, search for "DAS", and then Run the PROC_DAS_X_EXIT-CALIBRATION-MODEvia Toolbox: (link)routine.
  8. Disconnect the laptop from the vehicle.
  9. Exit Service Mode Plus. See Service Mode Plus.
  10. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
  11. Inform the customer that manual driving is now required to self-calibrate the camera.

    Note
    Self-calibration can take up to 100 miles (160 km) of manual driving, depending upon the road type and condition. Until self-calibration is complete, the message "Autopilot Features Currently Unavailable: Manual Driving Required While Camera Is Calibrating" is displayed if an attempt is made to engage an Autopilot feature.
