Beam - Reinforcement - Frunk (Remove and Replace)

Reuse

Remove

  1. Remove the underhood storage unit. See Underhood Storage Unit (Remove and Replace).
  2. Release the clips (x3) that attach the steering gear harness to the underhood storage unit reinforcement bracket.
  3. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the underhood storage unit reinforcement beam to the cooling fan, and then slide the beam forward to remove it from the vehicle.

  4. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the cooling fan module isolation brackets to the frunk reinforcement beam, and set the isolation brackets aside for re-installation to the new frunk reinforcement assembly.

Install

  1. Install the bolts (x4) to attach the cooling fan module isolation brackets to the new frunk reinforcement beam assembly.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)

  2. Position the underhood storage unit reinforcement beam to the cooling fan, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the underhood storage unit reinforcement beam to the cooling fan.
    46.5 Nm (34.3 lbs-ft)

  3. Install the clips (x3) that attach the steering gear harness to the underhood storage unit reinforcement beam.
