Suspension - Rear - Check Torque (Test/Adjust)

Procedure
- Remove both rear wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Remove the rear fascia diffuser. See Rear Fascia - Diffuser (Remove and Replace).
- Remove the LH and RH suspension covers. See Rear Suspension Cover - LH (Remove and Replace).

Remove the bolt that attaches the LH
rear brake rotor to the hub.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 2 in extension
- Install the hub jack adapter onto the LH rear hub and hand-tighten the lug nuts (x5).
- Position and raise the underhoist stand to simulate the suspension at ride height.
- Measure the distance between the bottom of the quarter panel and the center of the rear axle to make sure that the rear suspension is set to ride height. The distance should measure 428 mm.

Check the torque for the bolts (x2) that attach the LH rear damper to the body at the
top mount, and then mark them with a paint pen.41 Nm (30.2 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm socket
- 3 in extension

Check the torque for the bolt that attaches the LH rear damper to the lower aft link,
and then mark it with a paint pen.
TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket

Check the torque for the bolt that attaches the LH rear lower aft link to the rear
subframe, and then mark it with a paint pen.115 Nm (84.8 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket
- 21 mm combination wrench

Check the torque for the bolt that attaches the LH rear lower aft link to the
knuckle, and then mark it with a paint pen.115 Nm (84.8 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 21 mm socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Check the torque for the bolt that attaches the LH rear lower fore link to the LH
rear knuckle, and then mark it with a paint pen.76 Nm (56.0 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless 3/8in Dr Impact
- 18 mm deep socket
- 3 in extension
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Check the torque for the bolt that attaches the LH rear lower fore link to the
subframe, and then mark it with a paint pen.76 Nm (56.0 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Check the torque for the bolt that attaches the LH rear toe link to the LH rear
knuckle, and then mark it with a paint pen.76 Nm (56.0 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless 3/8in Dr Impact
- 18 mm socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Check the torque for the bolt that attaches the LH rear toe link to the subframe, and
then mark it with a paint pen.85 Nm (62.7 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless 3/8in Dr Impact
- 18 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- 18mm 12pt combination wrench

Check the torque for the bolt that attaches the LH rear upper fore link to the
knuckle, and then mark it with a paint pen.84 Nm (61.9 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm socket
- 3 in extension
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Check the torque for the bolt that attaches the LH rear upper fore link to the
subframe, and then mark it with a paint pen.84 Nm (61.9 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm combination wrench
- 18 mm socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Check the torque for the bolt that attaches the LH rear upper aft link to the
subframe, and then mark it with a paint pen.134 Nm (98.8 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm combination wrench
- 21 mm socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Check the torque for the bolt that attaches the LH rear upper aft link to the
knuckle, and then mark it with a paint pen.134 Nm (98.8 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Check the torque for the nut that attaches the LH stabilizer bar link to the LH rear
knuckle, and then mark it with a paint pen.55 Nm (40.6 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 15 mm socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Check the torque for the nut that attaches the LH rear drop link to the LH rear
stabilizer bar, and then mark it with a paint pen.55 Nm (40.6 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 5 mm hex
- 15 mm combination flex head wrench
- 15 mm socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench
- Remove the underhoist stand from underneath the LH rear suspension.
- Remove the lug nuts (x5) that attach the hub jack adapter, and then remove the hub jack adapter from the vehicle.

Install the bolt that attaches the LH
rear brake rotor to the hub.5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Repeat step 4 to step 24 for the RH side.

Check the torque for the bolts (x4) that attach the rear stabilizer bar to the rear
subframe, and then mark them with a paint pen.30 Nm (22.1 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
- 3 in extension
- 11 mm deep socket
- Flex head ratchet/flex head torque wrench

Check the torque for the small bolts (x2) that attach the LH shear plate to the HV
battery, and then mark them with a paint pen.64 Nm (47.2 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless 3/8in Dr Impact
- 3 in extension
- 13 mm socket

Check the torque for the larger bolt
that attaches the LH shear plate and subframe to the body, and then mark it with a paint
pen.125 Nm (92.2 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- Cordless 3/8in Dr Impact
- 6 in extension
- 21 mm deep socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench

Check the torque for the bolt that attaches the LH rear of the subframe to the body,
and then mark it with a paint pen.125 Nm (92.2 lbs-ft)TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket
- Ratchet/torque wrench
- Repeat step 27 to step 29 for the RH side.
- Install the LH and RH suspension covers. See Rear Suspension Cover - LH (Remove and Replace).
- Install the rear fascia diffuser. See Rear Fascia - Diffuser (Remove and Replace).
- Install both rear wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
