Liftgate Seal (Remove and Replace)

Remove

  1. Remove the trunk sill trim. See Trunk Sill Lower Trim (Remove and Replace).
  2. Apply tape on the vertical line position of the sealing strip for accurate installation.
  3. Pull the seal outward to remove it from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Align the line on the liftgate seal to the tape.
  2. Install the liftgate seal.

    Tap the liftgate seal with a rubber hammer to fully install it.

    Ensure that the seal covers the interior trim panel.
  3. Remove the masking tape.
  4. Install the trunk sill trim. See Trunk Sill Lower Trim (Remove and Replace).
