Correction code 1308020802 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the correction code and its associated FRT reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Remove

  1. Open all four doors.
  2. Lower all four windows.
  3. Move LH front seat forward.
  4. Move RH front seat forward.
  5. Position LH seat into easy entry mode.
    Note
    Press shoulder switch and push LH seat forward to position into easy entry mode.
  6. Partially remove lower portion of LH rear door seal.
  7. Remove LH 7seats lower C-pillar trim.
  8. Move LH seat to original position.
  9. Fold 2nd row LH seatback down.
  10. Disconnect 2nd row LH seat connector.
    Note
    Newer models may have red locking tab.
  11. Move LH seat forward using towel bar.
    Note
    With one hand on towel bar pull up and slide the seat forward with your other hand.
  12. Remove LH seat rear outboard track fastener.
    Note
    1x patch bolt, 11mm, 37 Nm, Discard after removal
  13. Remove LH seat rear inboard track fasteners.
    Note
    2x patch bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm, Discard after removal.
  14. Move LH seat fully rearward using towel bar.
    Note
    With one hand on towel bar pull up and slide the seat forward with your other hand.
  15. Remove LH seat outboard track cover.
    Note
    Slide covers forward to release from 60 seat tracks.
  16. Remove center track cover from 2nd row seats.
    Note
    Slide covers forward to release from 2nd row seat tracks.
  17. Release cabin carpet from LH seat.
    Note
    Pull cabin carpet towards front of vehicle.
  18. Remove LH seat front inboard track fasteners.
    Note
    1x bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm, Discard after removal.
  19. Remove 2nd row LH seat frame front outboard track fasteners.
    Note
    1x bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm, Discard after removal.
  20. Remove 2nd row LH seat assembly from vehicle.
    Note
    If seat that is not being replaced does not have ISOFIX flag for child locks, the seat cover will also require replacement.
  21. Remove 2nd row LH seatback assembly toe kick panel.
    Note
    7x clips, Pry up on LH side of LH toe kick cover to release clips, repeat on RH side to fully remove
  22. Release LH seat side shield.
    Note
    2x push clip, 1x hook, 1x connector, Once push clip is removed lift up and out on LH seat side shield to release, use caution when releasing side shield as seat fold switch harness is short.
  23. Remove 2nd row LH seatback panel.
    Note
    9x clips, 2x hooks, Release clips starting at the top of backpanel working your way down the lower backpanel, pull LH backpanel towards front of vehicle to remove.
  24. Remove center backpanel from 2nd row center seatback.
    Note
    5x clips, 2 hooks, Lift up at the lower 20 backpanel and then slide forward to release.
  25. Remove center seatback lumbar bun fastener.
    Note
    1x screw, T20, 1.5 Nm.
  26. Remove center seatback lumbar bun.
    Note
    2x clips, Pull bolster outwards to release.
  27. Remove center seatback pivot clamps.
    Note
    2x bolts, T40, 22 Nm, Once fasteners are removed slide pivot clamp towards the center of center seatback and pull each outwards to remove.
  28. Manually release the center seatback latch.
    Note
    Use small screwdriver to manipulate the center seatback latch to release.
  29. Remove center seatback from LH seat frame.
    Note
    Remove center seatback by lifting upwards.
  30. Release 2nd row LH seat harness connectors and clip from seat frame.
    Note
    6x clip, 5x connectors
  31. Release clips and remove inboard outer trim from 2nd row LH seat cushion assembly.
    Note
    3x clips, Use trim tool to unclip 3x clips and remove inboard outer trim towards rear of the vehicle.
  32. Remove push clips for 2nd row LH bottom seat pan.
    Note
    2x clips, Remove push clips from front of seat pan.
  33. Remove fasteners securing 60 seat pan to seat frame.
    Note
    4x fastener, 3x 10mm, 6 Nm, 1x T25, 1.5 Nm, 1x clip, Remove remaining bolts attaching seat pan to seat frame.
  34. Remove headrest from 2nd row LH seatback assembly.
    Note
    Simultaneously depress the guide button and insert a 90 degree pick into the guide opening, Lift up while engaged.
  35. Remove headrest guides from 2nd row LH seatback assembly.
    Note
    Pull back on lower portion of the headrest guide to release tab while also applying upward force to remove headrest guides.
  36. Release harness from 2nd row LH seatback.
  37. Remove 2nd row LH seatback assembly.
    Note
    Release clips securing LH seatback and lift upwards, seat belt will be removed in a later step.
  38. Remove 2nd row center seat belt anchor.
    Note
    1x bolt, T50, 40 Nm, Discard after removal
  39. Remove 2nd row center seat belt guide.
  40. Remove 2nd row center seat belt from 2nd row LH seatback assembly.
    Note
    Pass seat belt through opening.
  41. Slightly lift LH seat cushion pan upward.
    Note
    Lift 60 seat cushion upward but do not fully remove at this time.
  42. Disconnect seat cables from floor latch and easy entry actuators on LH seat.
  43. Remove 2nd row LH seat cushion assembly.
    Note
    Remove seat bottom by lifting the rear first and removing it towards front of the seat.
  44. Remove seat cover from LH seat pan.
    Note
    Remove LH seat cover from perimeter of seat pan by releasing J-hooks around the perimeter of the seat.

Install

  1. Install LH seat cover onto cushion.
    Note
    Place seat cover on new cushion and attach with 4x clips, ensure clips go through the seat in the intended areas.
  2. Install LH seat pan onto seat cushion.
    Note
    Place seat pan onto seat cushion and cover, secure seat cover to pan by hooking the J-hooks around the perimeter of the seat.
  3. Install 2nd row center seat belt anchor.
    Note
    1x bolt, T50, 40 Nm
  4. Connect seat cables from floor latch and easy entry actuators onto LH seat.
  5. Place LH seat pan onto seat frame.
    Note
    Reinstall seat bottom onto seat frame by starting at the rear of the seat.
  6. Install LH seat pan.
    Note
    Push the front of the seat cushion back into place and install clips.
  7. Secure fasteners securing LH seat pan to seat frame.
    Note
    4x fasteners, 3x 10mm, 6 Nm, 1x T25, 1.5 Nm, 1x clip, Install remaining bolts attaching seat pan to seat frame.
  8. Install 2nd row center seat belt to 2nd row LH seatback assembly.
    Note
    Pass seat belt through opening.
  9. Install 2nd row center seat belt guide.
    Note
    2x clips, 2x datums
  10. Install 2nd row LH seatback into place.
    Note
    Slide seat back into place making sure the bottom retainers slide into place, Reinstall push clips to secure seat back.
  11. Install headrest guides into LH seat assembly.
    Note
    Install headrest guides by pressing downwards until lower tab is seated.
  12. Install headrest onto LH seat assembly.
  13. Secure harness onto 2nd row LH seatback.
  14. Install center seatback pivot clamps.
    Note
    2x bolts, T40, 22 Nm, Insert pivot clamp at center of center frame and slide outwards to install fasteners, When replacing pivot clamps they must be replaced in pairs.
  15. Install center seatback lumbar bun.
    Note
    Press seatback lumbar bun into center frame.
  16. Install inboard outer trim to LH seat.
  17. Install LH seat side shield.
    Note
    2x push clip, 1x hook, 1x connector, Lift up on front a side shield and seat hook into seat cushion assembly.
  18. Install center seatback lumbar bun fastener.
    Note
    1x screw, T20, 1.5 Nm.
  19. Insert backpanel hooks into center seat back assembly.
    Note
    2x hooks, Engage hooks and slide rearward into position, Early production have 4x hooks.
  20. Insert backpanel hooks into LH seat back assembly.
  21. Install LH backpanel onto seat back.
    Note
    Install backpanel clips to seat back frame starting at lower backpanel working your way up towards upper backpanel.
  22. Install LH toe kick cover.
  23. Secure 2nd row LH seat harness connectors and clip onto seat frame.
    Note
    6x clip, 5x connectors
  24. Install 2nd row LH seat assembly.
  25. Connect 2nd row LH seat connector.
    Note
    Newer models may have red locking tab.
  26. Install fasteners securing LH seat frame to body.
    Note
    5x patch bolts, 11mm, 37 Nm, Install new patch bolts, bottom seat bolts located in rear.
  27. Secure cabin carpet to LH seat.
  28. Return 2nd row LH seatback to vertical position.
  29. Install LH seat outboard track cover.
  30. Install center track cover to 2nd row seats.
    Note
    Slide cover straight on to clip to 2nd row seat tracks.
  31. Position LH seat into easy entry mode.
    Note
    Press shoulder switch and push LH seat forward to position into easy entry mode.
  32. Install LH lower C-pillar trim.
    Note
    8x clips, Rear edge is secures onto trunk side trim, Secure rear clips then front clips.
  33. Reseat LH rear door seal.
    Note
    Seat pillar and sill trim tabs underneath seal.
  34. Move LH seat to original position.
  35. Move RH front seat to original position.
  36. Move LH front seat to original position.
  37. Raise all four windows.

    If LV is powered up then unlatch rear doors before closing
