Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  3. Remove the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
  4. Place the vehicle into Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  5. Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  6. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the MV battery, and then slide forward to remove the MV battery from the vehicle.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket

Install

  1. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the MV battery to the vehicle.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)

    • 10 mm socket

    Note
    Slide the MV battery rearwards into position.
  2. Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  3. Install the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
  4. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  5. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  6. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
