Supermanifold - Service Kit, 16MM Check Valve (Remove and Install)

Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Place the vehicle into Service Mode. See Service Mode.
- Unlock the vehicle Gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
- On the vehicle touchscreen, navigate to Service Mode > Thermal > Refrigerant System.

Tap Start Thermal Fill Drain (Refrigerant
only), and allow the routine to complete.
NoteMake sure the routine is successful.
- Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Remove the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
- Recover the AC refrigerant. See A/C Refrigerant (Recovery and Recharge).

Release the connector lock and
disconnect the harness electrical connectors (x2) from the supermanifold controller, and
then release the harness clip that attaches the Supermanifold harness to the harness
bracket.

Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the
Supermanifold controller to the vehicle, and then remove the controller from the
vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8 mm socket

Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the
Supermanifold harness bracket to the Supermanifold.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8 mm socket

Release the connector locks, and then
disconnect the harness electrical connectors (x9) from the Supermanifold.

Release the tabs (x24) that attach the
Supermanifold harness bracket to the Supermanifold, and then release the bracket from
the vehicle.
NoteRefer to the image for clarity on tab engagement.

Remove the snap ring that secures the
check valve to the Supermanifold, and then pull the check valve straight away from the
Supermanifold to remove it.
NoteMake sure the O-ring does not remain inside the bore.
Install
- Lubricate the O-ring on the check valve with new refrigerant oil.

Push the check valve straight into the
Supermanifold to install it, and then install the snap ring.
CAUTIONMake sure the O-ring does not get pinched during installation.

Position the Supermanifold harness
bracket onto the coils, and then engage the tabs (x24) that attach the bracket to the
vehicle.
NoteRefer to the image for clarity on tab engagement.NoteMake sure all the connectors are aligned.

Connect the harness electrical
connectors (x9) to the harness bracket and Supermanifold.

Install the bolts (x3) that attach the
Supermanifold harness bracket to the Supermanifold.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8 mm socket

Position the Supermanifold controller
into the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x3) that attach the controller to the
vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 8 mm socket

Connect the harness electrical
connectors (x2) to the Supermanifold controller, engage the connector locks, and then
install the harness clip that attaches the Supermanifold harness to the harness
bracket.

Reconnect AC hoses to the
vehicle.
- Perform AC vacuum and run leak test. See A/C Refrigerant (Recovery and Recharge).

Remove the low side AC hose from the
Supermanifold to HVAC AC line assembly.

Use an oil injector to add measured
amount of oil back into the system.
NoteUse calculated oil loss measurement and add new RB100EV oil into the system. If more than 30 mL was drained out during recovery, refer to drained oil loss chart: Toolbox article 353700.

Install the low side AC hose to the
Supermanifold to HVAC AC line assembly.
- Recharge the AC refrigerant. See A/C Refrigerant (Recovery and Recharge).
- Use the vehicle touchscreen to perform Thermal Performance test. See A/C Refrigerant (Recovery and Recharge).
- Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
- Install the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
