Front and Rear Garnish - Carrier - Front Fender Flare Fore - LH (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Place the vehicle into Service Mode via the UI. See Service Mode.
  3. Release the clips (x11) and datums (x3) that attach the LH front fender flare cover to the vehicle, disconnect the electrical connector, and then remove the cover from the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    The camera harness is very short. Make sure excess force is not exerted on the harness.
  4. Remove the push clips (x4) that attach the LH front wheel liner to the fore fender flare carrier.
  5. Remove the bolts (x6) that attach the LH front fore fender flare carrier to the vehicle, release the connector lock and disconnect the electrical connector, and then remove the carrier from the vehicle.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)

    Note
    The LH front BLE module is slotted into the fender flare carrier and will be removed with the assembly after disconnection.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket

Install

  1. Position the LH front fore fender flare carrier onto the vehicle, connect the electrical connector and secure the connector lock, and then install the bolts (x6) that attach the carrier to the vehicle.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Make sure the BLE connector is accessible.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  2. Install the push clips (x4) that attach the LH front wheel liner to the fore fender flare carrier.
  3. Position the LH front fender flare cover onto the vehicle, connect the electrical connector, and then secure the clips (x11) and datums (x3) that attach the cover to the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    The camera harness is very short. Make sure excess force is not exerted on the harness.

    Note
    Replace any missing or damaged clips.
  4. Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  5. Clear camera calibration via Service UI.

    In Service Mode, navigate to Driver Assist > Cameras > Clear Camera Calibration > Camera Input > ForwardFacing, and then touch Run
  6. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  7. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
