2nd Row Seat Covers and Pads - 2nd Row Seat Buckle Closeout Split - RH (Remove and Replace)

Cybertruck electronics are powered by a 48V "mid voltage" or "MV" architecture that is designed to improve efficiency. Servicing MV components requires extra knowledge and care in order to avoid personal and/or vehicular harm. Read and understand MV precautions in Electrical Precautions and make sure any required MV-related training courses have been completed, as applicable.
  1. Open the LH rear door and lower the LH rear window.
  2. Open the RH rear door and lower the RH rear window.
  3. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  4. Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  5. Remove the rear wall lower trim. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - End Item, Rear Wall Lower Trim, Soft Trim (Remove and Install).
  6. Fold down 2nd row 40 seat

    Pull tether to release then pivot down until locked in place
  7. Remove 2nd row RH outboard seatback bolster

    2x tabs, 1x datum, 3x clips, Release tab near the bottom of RH outboard bolster, Partially release RH 2nd row shoulder cover and remove bolster from vehicle
  8. Remove 2nd row RH inboard seatback bolster

  9. Remove clip securing RH 2nd row seat outboard B cover assembly

    1x clip, Position aside for access to clip
  10. Remove RH 2nd row seat back assembly

    4x clips, 1x connector, 3x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm, Pull upwards then away from frame then disconnect electrical harness, Release locking tab
  11. Remove 2nd row 40 seat cushion outboard cover

    1x clip, Pull outward from lower forward section to release
  12. Release 2nd row 40 seat seat cushion from underbelly

    Pull plastic retainers outward to release from underbelly
  13. Remove 2nd row seat cushion underbelly

    4x clips, Pull outwards from bottom to release
  14. Disconnect 2nd row seat cushion connectors

  15. Remove 2nd row seat cushion assembly from frame

    4x clips, Pull back seat cushion trim to access side clips, Slide seat cushion assembly upwards to remove from frame
  16. Remove RH 2nd row seat buckle split closeout assembly

  18. Position 2nd row seat cushion assembly onto frame

    4x clips, Slide seat cushion assembly downwards onto frame, Pull back seat cushion trim to access side clips
  19. Connect 2nd row seat cushion connectors

    4x clips, 2x connectors, Secure connectors then secure bracket to seat frame
  20. Install 2nd row seat cushion underbelly

  21. Secure 2nd row 40 seat seat cushion to underbelly

    Push plastic retainers into grooves, Manipulate material as required to engage all retainers
  22. Install 2nd row 40 seat cushion outboard cover

    1x clip, Push inwards at bottom to secure
  23. Install RH 2nd row seat back assembly

    4x clips, 1x connector, 3x bolts, 10mm, 9 Nm, Connect electrical harness before fully seating assembly, Engage locking tab
  24. Install clip securing RH 2nd row seat outboard B cover assembly

    1x clip, Ensure strap is not twisted
  25. Install 2nd row RH inboard seatback bolster

    4x clips, 2x datumns
  26. Install 2nd row seatback RH outboard bolster

    Note
    2x tabs, 1x datum, 3x clips, Position LH outboard bolster into place, Ensure all clips and tabs are fully engaged, Replace any missing or damaged clips, Secure LH 2nd row shoulder cover, Perform push-pull-push test datums
  27. Install the rear wall lower trim. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - End Item, Rear Wall Lower Trim, Soft Trim (Remove and Install).
  28. Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  29. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  30. Raise the rear windows and close the rear doors.
