Windshield Harness - Harness - Glass Assembly (Remove and Install)

Cybertruck electronics are powered by a 48V "mid voltage" or "MV" architecture that is designed to improve efficiency. Servicing MV components requires extra knowledge and care in order to avoid personal and/or vehicular harm. Read and understand MV precautions in Electrical Precautions and make sure any required MV-related training courses have been completed, as applicable.

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  3. Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  4. Remove the front header trim. See Headliner Trim - Front Header Trim (Remove and Install).
  5. Pivot the LH and RH visors to sides.

  6. Remove the rearview mirror beauty cover. See Rearview Mirror - Beauty Cover (Remove and Install).
  7. Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the GNSS antenna.
  8. Release the connector locks, and then disconnect the forward facing camera assembly connectors (x2).
  9. Disconnect the windshield harness electrical connectors (x4), release the harness clips (x6), and then remove the harness from the vehicle.

    Release the harness bracket from overhead console bracket.

Install

  1. Position the windshield harness into the vehicle, connect the electrical connectors (x4), and then secure the harness clips (x6).

  2. Connect the forward facing camera assembly connectors (x2), and then engage the connector locks.
  3. Connect the GNSS antenna, and then engage the connector lock.
  4. Install the rear view mirror beauty cover. See Rearview Mirror - Beauty Cover (Remove and Install).
  5. Move the LH and RH visors back to their original positions.
  6. Install the front header trim. See Headliner Trim - Front Header Trim (Remove and Install).
  7. Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  8. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  9. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
