Remove

  1. Remove the LH 1st row outboard side shield. See Front Seat Covers and Pads - 1R LH Outboard Cybershield Fab (Remove and Install).
  2. Release the connector safety lock, and then disconnect the LH lap pretensioner electrical connector.
  3. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH lap pretensioner to the seat track, and then remove the pretensioner from the vehicle.
    40 Nm (29.5 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Bolt is patched and held in place with a metal clip.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T50 socket

Install

  1. Position the LH lap pretensioner onto the seat track, and then install the bolt.
    40 Nm (29.5 lbs-ft)

    Align the guide pin onto the seat track.

    The bolt is captive. Apply threadlock to captive bolt if reinstalling the pretensioner.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T50 socket
  2. Connect the LH lap pretensioner electrical connector, and then secure the safety lock.
  3. Install the LH 1st row outboard side shield. See Front Seat Covers and Pads - 1R LH Outboard Cybershield Fab (Remove and Install).
