Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  3. Remove the LH front wheel cap. See Wheel Cover - Front - LH (Remove and Install) or Cover - Wheel (Long Range) (Remove and Install).
  4. Loosen the LH front wheel lug nuts (x6).
    205 Nm (151.2 lbs-ft)

    • 21 mm socket
  5. Remove and discard the LH front halfshaft bolt.
    300 Nm (221.2 lbs-ft)

  6. Raise the vehicle to a comfortable working height.
  7. Remove the LH front wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  8. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH front brake hose bracket to the vehicle, and then release the bracket from the vehicle.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)
  9. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front caliper to knuckle, and then use an S-hook to set the caliper aside.
    315 Nm (232.3 lbs-ft)

    Note
    The brake rotor will be loose until caliper is installed. Use lug nut to secure the rotor as needed.

  10. Remove the LH front brake rotor from the vehicle.
  11. Remove the nut that attaches the LH tie rod end to the knuckle.
    170 Nm (125.4 lbs-ft)

  12. Remove the LH tie rod end from the knuckle.
  13. Disconnect the LH front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  14. Release the clips (x2) that attach the LH front chassis jumper harness to the knuckle.
  15. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the LH front hub and brake shield to the vehicle, and then remove the hub and brake shield from the vehicle.
    105 Nm (77.4 lbs-ft)

Install

  1. Position the LH front hub and brake shield into the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x4) that attach the hub and brake shield to the vehicle.
    105 Nm (77.4 lbs-ft)

    • 18 mm socket
  2. Install the clips (x2) that attach the LH front chassis jumper harness to the knuckle.
  3. Connect the LH front wheel speed sensor electrical connector.
  4. Position the LH tie rod end onto the knuckle.
  5. Install the nut that attaches the LH tie rod end to the knuckle.
    170 Nm (125.4 lbs-ft)

  6. Install the LH front brake rotor onto the vehicle.
  7. Position the LH front caliper to the knuckle, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the caliper to the knuckle.
    315 Nm (232.3 lbs-ft)

    The brake rotor will be loose until caliper is installed. Use lug nut to secure the rotor as needed.

  8. Install the bolt that attaches the LH front brake hose bracket to the vehicle.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)
  9. Position the LH front wheel onto the vehicle. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  10. Lower the vehicle until tires are touching the ground.
  11. Install a new LH front halfshaft bolt.
    300 Nm (221.2 lbs-ft)

  12. Torque the LH front wheel lug nuts (x6). See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  13. Install the LH front wheel cap. See Wheel Cover - Front - LH (Remove and Install) or Cover - Wheel (Long Range) (Remove and Install).
  14. Remove the vehicle from the lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  15. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
