Remove
- Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
- Remove the bed cover assembly. See Truck Bed - Bed Floor Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Connect a laptop with Toolbox 3 to the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "TAS service run".
- Click PROC_TAS_X_ENTER-SERVICE-MODEvia Toolbox: (link), click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
- Click the Actions tab, and then search for "Deflate Spring".
- Click PROC_TAS_X_DEFLATEvia Toolbox: (link)via Service Mode: Chassis ➜ Suspension ➜ Deflate, click Run, and allow the routine to complete.
- Click the Actions/Autodiag tab, and then search for "EPB".

Click PROC_EPBL_START-SERVICE-MODEvia Toolbox: (link), click
Run, and allow
the routine to complete.
NoteChock the wheel if necessary.
- Remove the laptop from the vehicle, but do not close Toolbox.

Release the nut that attaches the LH rear air spring module air line to the vehicle, and then remove the air line.Note14 mmTIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 14 mm combination wrench
- Remove the LH rear fore fender flare. See Front and Rear Garnish - Rear Fender Flare Fore - LH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH rear aft fender flare. See Front and Rear Garnish - Rear Fender Flare Aft - LH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).

Remove the push clips (x19) and push nuts (x5) that attach the LH rear wheel liner to the vehicle, and then remove the wheel liner from the vehicle.
NoteCut the push nuts with diagonal cutters. Discard the push nuts after removal.

Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the EPB harness connector from the LH rear brake caliper.

Remove the bolt that attaches the LH
rear brake line to the upper control arm, and then release the brake line from the
control arm.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
LH rear brake caliper to the knuckle, and then use an S-hook hang the caliper
aside.NoteRoute the caliper hose so that it does not get caught on stabilizer bar assembly.NoteHang the caliper from the body.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket

Disconnect the electrical connectors (x2) from the LH rear air spring module, and then release the harness from the clips (x2).

Remove the bolts (x3) that attach the LH rear lower control arm aeroshield to the vehicle, and then remove the aeroshield from the vehicle.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Remove the fasteners (x2) that attach
the LH rear air spring module to the lower control arm.NoteEarly production vehicles may be equipped with either nylon locking nuts or knurled cinch nuts.NoteIf the vehicle is equipped with nylon locking nuts, discard the nuts after removal.NoteCinch nuts can be reused. Cinch nuts should stay in place on air spring mounting flange. Hold the cinch nuts with locking pliers if required.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket

Remove and discard the nuts (x3) that
attach the LH rear air spring module to the vehicle.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm socket

With assistance, release the LH rear air spring module from the lower control arm, and then maneuver the air spring module downward and out of the vehicle.
CAUTIONBe careful not to mar or damage any components during removal.

Remove and discard the VOSS fitting from the air spring module air line.
NoteSlide the threaded section back, remove the collet, and then slide the threaded section off of the air line.
Install

Use a shop towel and IPA wipes to clean the surface area on the lower control arm for the air spring module installation.
NoteAllow one minute of dry time.

Position the LH rear air spring module into the vehicle.
NoteUse pry bar to help ease the air spring into position if needed.CAUTIONBe careful not to mar or damage any components during removal.

Install new nuts (x3) that attach the
LH rear air spring module to the vehicle.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm socket

Install the fasteners (x2) that attach
the LH rear air spring module to the lower control arm.NoteEarly production vehicles may be equipped with either nylon locking nuts or knurled cinch nuts.NoteIf the vehicle was equipped with nylon locking nuts, install new nuts.NoteCinch nuts can be reused. Cinch nuts should stay in place on air spring mounting flange. Hold cinch nuts with locking pliers if required.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:

Position the LH rear lower control arm aeroshield to the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x3) that attach the aeroshield to the vehicle.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Connect the electrical connectors (x2) to the LH rear air spring module, and then secure the harness to the clips (x2).

Position the LH rear brake caliper to
the knuckle, and install the bolts (x2) that attach the caliper to the knuckle.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket

Position the LH rear brake line to the
upper control arm, and then install the bolt that attaches the brake line to the control
arm.TIpUse of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Connect the EPB harness electrical connector to the LH rear brake caliper, and then engage the connector lock.

Position the LH rear wheel liner to the vehicle, and then install the push clips (x19) and new push nuts (x5) that attach the wheel liner to the vehicle.
- Install the LH rear wheel, but do not install the wheel cap. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Install the LH rear aft fender flare. See Front and Rear Garnish - Rear Fender Flare Aft - LH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH rear fore fender flare. See Front and Rear Garnish - Rear Fender Flare Fore - LH (Remove and Install).

Remove the air fitting plug, and then install the air line into the LH rear air spring module.
NotePress the hose into the fitting until the mark aligns with the top of the fitting.
- Re-establish vehicle connection to Toolbox 3.
- In Toolbox, click the Actions tab, and then search for "TAS service run".
- Click PROC_TAS_X_ENTER-NORMAL-MODEvia Toolbox: (link), click Run, and then allow routine to complete.
- Disconnect Toolbox and remove the laptop from the vehicle. See Toolbox 3 (Connect and Disconnect).
- Remove the vehicle from the lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
- Install the bed cover assembly. See Truck Bed - Bed Floor Assembly (Remove and Install).
