Car Computer (Remove and Install)

Remove
- Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
- Open the RH front door and lower the RH front window.
- Remove the LH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).

Remove the footwell cover.
Notex3 clips, x3 magnets
- Remove the RH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the RH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
- Open the powered frunk.
- Place the vehicle in Service Mode. See Service Mode.
- Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
- Remove the mid IP panel. See Dash Panel - IP Mid Panel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Remove the lower IP panel. See Dash Panel - Instrument Panel Lower Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Remove the glove box. See Dash Panel - IP Glovebox Assembly (Remove and Install).

Remove the car computer drip
guard.
Notex2 clips
-
Release the harness clips (x2) and
disconnect the upper car computer electrical connectors (x4).
NoteRelease the locking tabs.NoteSet the electrical harness aside once disconnected from the car computer.

Remove the anti-kick bracket.
Notex1 nut, x1 bolt, 10 mm, 13 Nm

Disconnect the lower car computer
electrical connectors.
Notex9 connectorsNoteRelease the locking tabs.

Place absorbent mats under the car
computer.
NoteMake sure that coolant does NOT spill onto electrical components.

Release the spring clips (x2) for the
car computer coolant hoses.
NotePlug the hoses upon removal.NoteUse a coolant jug to catch as much coolant as possible.NoteTuck the hoses out of way once plugged.

Remove the bolt, nuts (x3) and ground
bolt that attach the car computer to the body, and then remove the car computer from the
vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
NoteMakes sure that the electrical harness is not caught during removal of the car computer.
Install

Fasten the bolt, nuts (x3), and ground
bolt that attach the car computer to the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
NoteMake sure that the electrical harness is not pinched during installation of the car computer. -
Connect the car computer coolant
hoses.
Notex2 spring clipsNoteRemove the plugs from hosesNoteLubricate the o-rings with fresh coolant.NoteUse a coolant jug to catch any residual coolant.CAUTIONDo not force coolant fittings into place as o-rings could be damaged.NotePerform a push-pull-push test on each hose connection.

Remove the absorbent mats from under
the car computer.
NoteMake sure that no coolant remains in area.

Connect the lower car computer
electrical connectors (x9).
NoteEngage the locking tabs.

Install the anti-kick bracket.
Notex1 nut, x1 bolt, 10 mm, 13 Nm

Connect the upper car computer
electrical connectors (x4) and fasten the harness clips (x2).
NoteEngage the locking tabs.

Install the car computer drip
guard.
Notex2 clips
- Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.

Remove the coolant bottle cap.
- Unlock the vehicle gateway. See Gateway (Unlock),

Select "Start Coolant Air Purge" using
the touchscreen.
NoteTouch time only.NoteWait until the coolant pumps stop running (audible noise).NoteRoutine "Passed" will appear, but the coolant pumps will run for 10 minutes.CAUTIONIf you start next another routine during this time, it will fail.CAUTIONMake sure vehicle is not in "Drive". Putting vehicle in "Drive" will stop this routine.NoteRoutine is still running despite the completed message.NoteIf speeds hover at 7000 RPM, this indicates the pumps are air locked, perform a vacuum fill.NoteContinue to add coolant and purge until the coolant level reaches between the NOM and MAX Lines on the bottle.
- Install the glove box. See Dash Panel - IP Glovebox Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Install the lower IP panel. See Dash Panel - Instrument Panel Lower Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Install the mid IP panel. See Dash Panel - IP Mid Panel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Install the RH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
- Install the RH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).

Install the footwell cover.
Notex3 clips, x3 magnets
- Install the LH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
- Install the LH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).

Inspect coolant level and top off as
necessary..
NoteMake sure that the coolant fluid level is at the Max line. Top off fluid as required.

Install the coolant bottle cap.
- Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Close the powered frunk.
- Raise the RH front window and close the RH front door.
- Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
- Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
