Rear Knuckle - Hub and Bearing - Driven Hub - 6X139.7mm PCD - 180mm Flange (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle on a 2 post lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  3. Remove the LH rear wheel center cap. See Wheel Cover - Front - LH (Remove and Install).
  4. Remove the LH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  5. Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the rear left chassis corner harness electrical connector from the brake caliper.
  6. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH rear wheel speed sensor to the LH rear knuckle, and then release the harness clips (x2).
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  7. Connect the EPB harness electrical connector to the LH rear brake caliper, and then engage the connector lock.
  8. Release the LH rear parking brake with the EPB release tool.
  9. Release the connector lock, and then disconnect the EPB harness electrical connector from the LH rear brake caliper.
  10. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH rear brake caliper to the LH rear knuckle, and then use an S-hook to hang the caliper on the body.
    150 Nm (110.6 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Route the caliper hose so that it does not get caught on the stabar assembly.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 21 mm socket
  11. Remove the LH rear brake rotor.

    After the caliper is released, the rotor is also loose.
  12. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the LH rear hub to the LH rear knuckle, and then remove the hub from the vehicle.
    105 Nm (77.4 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Shield will be loose until the hub is installed. There is an insert on the shield for orientation.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 18 mm socket

Install

  1. Position the LH rear hub assembly to the LH rear knuckle, and then install the bolts (x4) that attach the hub assembly to the knuckle..
    105 Nm (77.4 lbs-ft)

    Note
    The shield will be loose until the hub is installed. There is an insert on the shield for orientation.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 18 mm socket
  2. Mount the LH rear brake rotor.
  3. Position the LH rear brake caliper to the LH rear knuckle, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the caliper to the knuckle.
    150 Nm (110.6 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Watch for clearance when torquing to not damage the lines or connector.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 21 mm socket
  4. Position the LH rear wheel speed sensor onto the knuckle, and then install the bolt and clips (x2) that attach the sensor to the knuckle.
    8 Nm (5.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T30 socket
  5. Connect the rear left chassis corner harness electrical connector to the brake caliper, and then engage the connector lock.
  6. Install the LH rear wheel. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
  7. Install the LH rear wheel center cap. See Wheel Cover - Front - LH (Remove and Install).
  8. Remove the vehicle from the lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
  9. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
