Raise Vehicle - Jack
Warning
This procedure
details vehicle lifting for Mobile Service using a jack and supporting the vehicle
on a jack stand. ONLY USE THIS PROCEDURE WHEN IT IS REFERENCED BY ANOTHER
PROCEDURE.
Warning
To
reduce the risk of personal injury, use appropriate equipment while performing this
operation.
Warning
Do not work on an incorrectly supported
vehicle.
Warning
While the vehicle is supported on jack stand(s), never perform any
work while any body parts are under the vehicle.
Warning
Failure to follow
the critical steps and checks of this procedure can lead to serious injury or
death.
Warning
Cybertruck requires jacks and jack stands rated for at least 2.5
tons. Failure to support Cybertruck with proper tooling can result in vehicular
damage and/or personal harm.
CAUTION
To avoid vehicular
damage and/or personal harm, NEVER support the vehicle from diagonal points (for
example, LH front and RH rear) at the same time.
CAUTION
Perform a visual
check of the jack according to the equipment operator's manual before using the
jack.

- Jack stand rated at 2.5
Tons or aboveNoteIf the vehicle is powered, a 400 mm tall jack stand is required. If the vehicle is not powered, a 480 mm tall jack stand is required.
Raise Vehicle with Jack

Ensure the vehicle is parked
on a solid and level surface.
WarningDo not attempt to jack the vehicle if it is parked on any loose surface such as gravel or dirt.
- Make sure that the hood, tailgate, and all doors are closed, unless necessary for the work to be performed.
- On the vehicle touchscreen, enable Jack Mode ( .

Install wheel chocks on the wheel that is diagonally across from where the vehicle will be lifted, for example:
- Lift LH front of vehicle: chock RH rear wheel
- Lift RH front of vehicle: chock LH rear wheel
- Lift LH rear of vehicle: chock RH front wheel
- Lift RH rear of vehicle: chock LH front wheel

Position the jack under the
lift location, and then carefully raise the jack.
WarningJack the vehicle only from the indicated lift point. Failure to do so might damage the vehicle and/or cause personal harm.

Lift the vehicle until there
is enough clearance to position a jack stand under the vehicle, and then
place a jack stand under the jack stand support location, aligning the jack
stand with the recesses in the jack stand support location.
WarningThe jack stand must support the vehicle at the location indicated. Failure the support the vehicle at the indicated location might damage the vehicle and/or cause personal harm.
- Very slowly lower the jack, making sure the jack stand remains aligned with the recesses in the jack stand support location.
- When the corner of the vehicle is fully supported by the jack stand, move the jack out of the working area.

If installing another jack
stand on the same axle or same side of the vehicle, repeat steps 4 to 8.
WarningTo avoid vehicular damage and/or personal harm, NEVER support the vehicle from diagonal points (for example, LH front and RH rear) at the same time.
Lower Vehicle
- Make sure no tools or parts are under the vehicle.
- Position the jack under the lift location, and then carefully lift the vehicle off of the jack stand.
- Remove the jack stand from under the vehicle.

Slowly lower the vehicle until the wheels are touching the ground.
WarningTo avoid injuries, stay clear from the vehicle.
- Remove the jack from under the vehicle.
- Repeat steps 2 to 5 as needed.
- Remove the wheel chocks from the vehicle.
- Disable Jack Mode ( .
