Front and Rear Door Glass Regulator - Front Door LH Door Closeout Panel (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Use the touchscreen to place the vehicle into Service Mode.

    Note
    Select Controls > Software. Touch and hold "Cybertruck" for 2 seconds then release. Use the screen keyboard to type "service" into dialog box and select OK button. Select "X" at upper left corner to exit 'Service Settings' dialogue box.
  3. Remove the LH front door trim panel. See Front Door Trim Pad - Door Trim Front - LH (Remove and Install).
  4. Remove the LH front door moving glass. See Door Glass - Moving Glass - Front LH (Remove and Install).
  5. Use the touchscreen to power down the vehicle.

    Note
    Verify EPBs are engaged. Select the charge port icon to ensure drive state is disengaged, then power down vehicle via Controls > Safety > Power Off.
  6. Slide the eCPA to the left on the MV battery connector, and then lift the lever to release it. Unlock fireman's loop connector and disconnect the connector.

    Release by pushing down to unlock, and slide the red locking tab to the left.

    CAUTION
    Wait 2 minutes for electrical circuits to discharge before disconnecting modules.
  7. Release the clips (x4), disconnect the harness connectors (x5), and then release the LH front door harness from the closeout panel.
  8. Remove the fasteners (x13) that attach the LH front door closeout panel to the LH front door, release the harness clip and locking datums (x2), and then remove the closeout panel from the door assembly.

    Take note of the location of the 8 mm and 10 mm bolts.

    Note
    Pull the bottom of the closeout panel outwards, and then lower the assembly to allow for clearance for the regulator rails.

    Note
    Gently pry the closeout panel out to release the locking datums.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 8 mm socket
    • 10 mm socket
  9. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the LH front door window regulator to the closeout panel, and then remove the regulator from the closeout panel.

    Take note of the bolt lengths and locations.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket

Install

  1. Position the LH front door window regulator to the closeout panel, and then install the bolts (x4) that attach the regulator to the closeout panel.

    Note
    Take note of the bolt lengths and locations.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T25 socket
  2. Position the LH front door closeout panel to the LH front door, secure the harness clip and locking datums (x2), and then install the fasteners (x13) that attach the closeout panel to the door assembly.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    12 Nm (8.8 lbs-ft)

    Note
    The 8mm bolts are torqued to 4 Nm and the 10mm bolts are torqued to 12 Nm.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 8 mm socket
    • 10 mm socket
  3. Connect the LH front door harness connectors (x5), and then secure the clips (x4) that attach the harness to the LH front door closeout panel..
  4. Slide the eCPA to the right until it is seated against the black lever. Connect the fireman's loop 20 seconds after eCPA engagement.

    Lock fireman's loop connection.

    Slide and secure red locking tab on top of release lever.
  5. Install the LH front door moving glass. See Door Glass - Moving Glass - Front LH (Remove and Install).
  6. Install the LH front door trim panel. See Front Door Trim Pad - Door Trim Front - LH (Remove and Install).
  7. Calibrate the LH front window.

    Note
    Press and hold down the selected window for 15 seconds. Raise the window and hold for 15 seconds. Test window by hard pressing to verify auto raise/lower functions correctly.
  8. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
