Shroud - Upper - Steering Wheel (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Install).
  3. Disconnect MV power. See Mid-Voltage Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
  4. Remove the steering wheel. See Steering Wheel Pur Heated (Remove and Install)
  5. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the upper shroud to the steering wheel, and then use a trim tool to separate the shroud from the steering wheel.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket

Install

  1. Position the upper shroud onto the steering wheel, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the shroud to the steering wheel.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Note
    Make sure the guide datums are fully seated.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket
  2. Install the steering wheel. See Steering Wheel Pur Heated (Remove and Install)
  3. Reconnect MV power. See Mid-Voltage Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
  4. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Install).
  5. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
