Correction code 18301000 NOTE: Unless otherwise explicitly stated in the procedure, the correction code and FRT listed above reflect all of the work required to perform this procedure, including the linked procedures. Do not stack correction codes unless explicitly told to do so. NOTE: See Flat Rate Times to learn more about FRTs and how they are created. NOTE: See Personal Protection to make sure you are wearing proper PPE when performing the procedure below. NOTE: See Ergonomic Precautions for safe and healthy working practices.

1. Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
2. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
3. Place the vehicle into Service Mode. See Service Mode.
4. Navigate to Refrigerant System through UI
   Note

   Select Service Mode > Thermal > Refrigerant System
5. Select "Start Thermal Fill Drain (Coolant and Refrigerant)" through UI
   Note

   Allow routine to complete, ensure routine is successful
6. Open the powered frunk.
7. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
   Note

   Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to the side if both locks are not engaged
8. Remove lower valence fasteners
   Note

   2x clips, 2x covers, 6x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm, Release covers to expose bolts

   

   

   

   

   

9. Remove front aero shield
   Note

   11x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm

   

10. Place coolant catcher below RH front of vehicle

    

11. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground
    Note

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
12. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Install).
13. Remove the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
14. Disconnect MV power. See Mid-Voltage Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
15. Remove front center applique
    Note

    8x tabs, 1x connector, Release upper 4 tabs by pushing down then gently pull away, Release frunk release trigger connector

    

    

16. Remove front fascia fasteners
    Note

    2x covers, 6x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, Remove tow hook covers to expose bolts

    

    

    

17. Release clips securing front portion of the LH front wheel house liner
    Note

    4x clips

    

18. Remove front fascia LH side fastener
    Note

    1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, Pull wheel liner back for access

    

19. Release clips securing front portion of the RH front wheel house liner
    Note

    4x clips

    

20. Remove front fascia RH side fastener and connectors
    Note

    1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, 1x clip, 3x connectors, Pull wheel liner back for access, Pull red locking tab to release, Do not push down on locking tab

    

    

21. Remove front lower fascia assembly
    Note

    Place on suitable protective surface

    

    

22. Disconnect CFM connectors
    Note

    2x connectors, 4x clips

    

    

23. Remove lower CFM fasteners
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm

    

    

    

    

24. Remove fore crossmember
    Note

    2x bolts, 18mm, 90 Nm, Push up on CFM, Use hammer if needed, Recommend assistance

    

    

    

25. Disconnect radiator to manifold hose from radiator and plug connections
    Note

    1x spring clip, Remove from vehicle, Plug hoses

    

26. Disconnect manifold to radiator hose from radiator and plug connections
    Note

    1x spring clips, Plug hoses

    

27. Release harness from CFM
    Note

    1x grommet, 2x connectors, 5x harness clips, Pull red locking tab to disengage louver connector, Release temperature sensor then disconnect, Release grommet and pull harness through from frunk area

    

    

    

28. Remove upper CFM fasteners
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm

    

    

29. Remove CFM
    Note

    Recommend assistance, Remove from below impact beam, Ensure harness is not pinched during removal

    

    

30. Remove active grille shutter from cooling fan module assembly
    Note

    12x locking tabs, 2x clips

    

    

    

    

    

    

31. Remove plastic grille from radiator
    Note

    2x clips, 2x guides, Cut foam at highlighted areas first, Release clips then remove guides from radiator

    

    

    

    

    

32. Vacuum 45mm radiator
    Note

    Remove large debris as needed

    

    

    

33. Clean 45mm radiator
    Note

    Do not apply pressurized air too close to blades

    

    

34. Clean fan assembly
    Note

    Avoid moving debris onto fan

    

    

35. Inspect fan assembly for debris
    Note

    Remove large debris as needed

    

    

    

36. Install plastic grille onto radiator
    Note

    2x clips, 2x guides, Position guides onto radiator then secure clips

    

    

    

37. Install active grille shutter onto cooling fan module assembly
    Note

    12x locking tabs, 2x clips, Position assembly on flat surface with fans down, Align datums then engage tabs

    

    

    

    

    

    

38. Install CFM
    Note

    Install from bottom, Assistance recommend Manipulate as required, Ensure harness is not pinched during install

    

    

39. Install upper CFM fasteners
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm

    

    

40. Secure harness to CFM
    Note

    1x grommet, 2x connector, 1x harness clip, Secure grommet then connect temperature sensor, Engage locking tab on louver connector

    

    

    

41. Connect radiator inlet coolant hose
    Note

    1x spring clips,Ensure hose is fully engaged with a push-pull-push test

    

42. Connect radiator to manifold hose to radiator
    Note

    1x spring clip, Ensure hose is fully engaged with a push-pull-push test

    

    

43. Install fore crossmember
    Note

    2x bolts, 18mm, 90 Nm, Lift CFM away from beam to aid in clearance, Install beam by sliding rewards

    

    

    

44. Install lower CFM fasteners
    Note

    2x bolts, 10mm, 10 Nm

    

    

    

    

45. Connect CFM connectors
    Note

    2x connectors, 4x clips

    

    

46. Install front lower fascia assembly
    Note

    Ensure no harnesses are pinched

    

    

47. Install RH fascia fastener and connectors
    Note

    1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, 1x clip, 3x connectors, Pull wheel liner back for access, Engage locking tab

    

    

48. Secure RH wheel liner
    Note

    4x clips

    

49. Install LH fascia fastener
    Note

    1x bolt, 10mm, 6 Nm, Pull wheel liner back for access

    

50. Secure LH wheel liner
    Note

    4x clips

    

51. Install front fascia fasteners and covers
    Note

    2x covers, 6x bolts, 10mm, 4 Nm, Install tow hook covers

    

    

    

52. Install front center applique
    Note

    8x tabs, 1x connector, Ensure all tabs engage, Secure frunk release trigger connector

    

    

53. Reconnect MV power. See Mid-Voltage Power (Disconnect and Connect) (Modify).
54. Access thermal system routines using the UI
    Note

    Select quick controls > Service mode > Thermal > Actions
55. Run ODIN routine PROC_EGGRIGHT3_X_THERMAL-FILL-DRAIN-STOPvia Service Mode:
    • Thermal ➜ Actions ➜ Stop Thermal Fill/Drain

56. Select "Start Coolant Air Purge" using the UI
    Note

    Touch time only, wait until coolant pumps stop running (audible noise), Routine Passed will appear, but pumps will run for 10 minutes, If you start next another routine during this time it will fail, Make sure vehicle is not in "Drive", Routine is still running despite the completed message, Speeds can be monitored in garage under PT Thermal tab, Idle speed = ~1500 RPM, Test will vary speeds from 3500-6500 RPM and actuate valves between SERIES and PARALLEL, Putting vehicle into "Drive" will stop this routine, If speeds hover at 7000 RPM, this indicates the pumps are air locked, perform a vacuum fill, Continue to add coolant and purge until the coolant level reaches between the NOM and MAX Lines on the bottle
57. Raise vehicle fully and lower lift onto locks
    Note

    Set vehicle to comfortable working height, Ensure an audible click of locks on both sides is heard before lowering, Vehicle may tilt to the side if both locks are not engaged
58. Install front aero shield
    Note

    11x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm, Apply loctite 222 to aeroshield fasteners

    

59. Install lower valence fasteners
    Note

    2x clips, 2x covers, 6x bolts, 10mm, 6 Nm, Secure covers

    

    

    

    

    

60. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground
    Note

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
61. Perform Thermal Performance through the UI
    Note

    Select Thermal > Actions > Test Thermal Performance, click Run, close once routine is completed
62. Install the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
63. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Apron - Rear (Remove and Install).
64. Remove the vehicle from the lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
65. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
66. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
