Bed Floor D-Rings (Install)

  1. Open the tailgate.
  2. Open the tonneau cover.
  3. Remove the bolt covers (x4) from the bed floor.
    Note
    Do not discard the bolt covers. Set the bolt covers aside and provide the covers to the customer once the D-rings have been installed.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Plastic trim tool
  4. Remove the bolts (x4) from the bed floor.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
  5. Position the D-rings (x4) into the bed floor with the hinges on the outboard side of the vehicle, open the D-ring hinges, and then install the bolts (x4) that attach the D-rings to the vehicle.
    56 Nm (41.3 lbs-ft)
    CAUTION
    Makes sure the D-ring hinge is open when installing the bolts to avoid damage to the finish.
    Note
    Push the D-rings as far forward as possible when fastening to ensure the bed storage door does not contact the D-ring when opening.
    Tip
    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket

  6. Close the tailgate.
  7. Close the tonneau cover.
