Mud Flaps (Retrofit)

Retrofit

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Turn the steering wheel fully to the left to provide access to the working areas.
  3. Remove the clips (x2) that partially attach the LH front wheel arch liner to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool

  4. Position the LH front mud flap on the vehicle, and then install the clips (x2) that attach the mud flap to the LH front wheel arch liner.

    Install the clips starting from right to left.

  5. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front mud flap to the LH rocker panel.
    1.8 Nm (1.3 lbs-ft)

    Align the bolts with the rocker panel holes.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 2 in extension
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • Torque wrench with angle measurement

  6. Remove the clips (x3) that partially attach the RH rear wheel arch liner to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Clip pry tool

  7. Remove the bolt that partially attaches the RH rear diffuser to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 2 in extension
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • Torx T30 socket

  8. Move the RH rear wheel arch liner away from the working area as required, and then install the U-nuts (x3) onto the RH rear fascia.

  9. Move the RH rear wheel arch liner back to original position.

  10. Position the RH rear mud flap on the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x3) that attach the mud flap to the RH rear wheel arch liner.
    2.2 Nm (1.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • Torque wrench with angle measurement

  11. Install the bolt that attaches the RH rear mud flap to the RH rear diffuser.
    2.2 Nm (1.6 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm deep socket
    • Cordless Ratchet/Impact Driver
    • Torque wrench with angle measurement

  12. Turn the steering wheel fully to the right to provide access to the working areas.
  13. Repeat step 3 through step 5 for the RH front mud flap.
  14. Repeat step 6 through step 11 for the LH rear mud flap.
  15. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
