Supermanifold - Supermanifold Controller (Remove and Replace)

Cybertruck electronics are powered by a 48V "mid voltage" or "MV" architecture that is designed to improve efficiency. Servicing MV components requires extra knowledge and care in order to avoid personal and/or vehicular harm. Read and understand MV precautions in Electrical Precautions and make sure any required MV-related training courses have been completed, as applicable.
  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Place the vehicle into Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  3. Unlock the vehicle Gateway. See Gateway (Unlock).
  4. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  5. Remove the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
  6. Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power (Modify).
  7. Release the connector locks, disconnect the supermanifold controller electrical connectors (x2), and then release the harness clip.
  8. Remove supermanifold controller

  9. Install supermanifold controller

    1x harness clip, 3x bolts, 8mm, 4 Nm
  10. Connect the supermanifold electrical connectors (x2) and engage the connector locks, and then secure the harness clip.
  11. Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power (Modify).
  12. Perform software reinstall

    Via UI > Service Mode > Software Reinstall > CAN ECU > Reinstall, Reinstall will begin immediately, Once firmware redeploy is complete, Verify release notes are present via UI
  13. Perform Heat Pump Commissioning through UI

    Select Thermal > Sensors and Valves > Run Heat Pump Commissioning, click Run, close once routine is passed
  14. Perform Thermal Performance through the UI

  15. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  16. Install the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
  17. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  18. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
