Remove

  1. Remove the steering wheel. See Steering Column and Wheel - Steering Wheel Pur Heated (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the steering column upper shroud. See Steering Column and Wheel - Shroud Upper Instrument Panel - Steering Column (Remove and Install).
  3. Remove the screws (x2) that attach the steering column lower shroud to the steering column, and slide the shroud off the gap hider to remove it from the vehicle.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx T20 socket

Install

  1. Position the steering column lower shroud to the steering column, slide the shroud onto the gap hider, and then install the screws (x2) that attach shroud to the steering column.
    1.5 Nm (1.1 lbs-ft)
