- Remove the coolant bottle cap.
-
Inspect coolant level and top off as
necessary.
NoteMake sure the fluid level is at the Max line.
- Connect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
- On the vehicle touchscreen, navigate to Service mode > Thermal > Actions to access thermal system routines.
-
Tap Stop Thermal Fill Drain,
and allow the routine to complete.
NoteMake sure the routine is successful.
-
Tap Start Coolant Air
Purge.
NoteTouch time only. Wait until the coolant pumps stop running (audible noise). Routine Passed will appear, but pumps will run for 10 minutes. Starting another routine during this time will cause air purge routine to fail. Make sure the vehicle is not in "Drive". Routine is still running despite the completed message. Test will vary speeds from 3500-6500 RPM and actuate valves between SERIES and PARALLEL. Putting the vehicle into "Drive" will stop the routine. If speeds hover at 7000 RPM, this indicates the pumps are air locked, perform a vacuum fill. Continue to add coolant and purge until the coolant level reaches between the NOM and MAX Lines on the bottle.
- Install the front aeroshield. See Undertray - Front Aeroshield (Remove and Install).
- Lower the vehicle until the tires are touching the ground.
- Inspect the coolant level and top off as necessary.
- Install the coolant bottle cap.
-
On the vehicle touchscreen, navigate
to Thermal >
Actions >
