Cybertruck electronics are powered by a 48V "mid voltage" or "MV" architecture that is designed to improve efficiency. Servicing MV components requires extra knowledge and care in order to avoid personal and/or vehicular harm. Read and understand MV precautions in Electrical Precautions and make sure any required MV-related training courses have been completed, as applicable.

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Open the powered frunk.
  3. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  4. Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power (Modify).
  5. Remove the LH front beltline assembly. See Front Door Trim Pad - Beltline Assembly - LH (Remove and Install).
  6. Remove the LH front door trim. See Front Door Trim Pad - Door Trim Front - LH (Remove and Install).
  7. Release the tabs (x3) that attach the NVH foam to the door trim, and then remove the NVH foam from the door trim.

Install

  1. Install the NVH foam onto the door trim.

  2. Install the LH front door trim. See Front Door Trim Pad - Door Trim Front - LH (Remove and Install).
  3. Install the LH front beltline assembly. See Front Door Trim Pad - Beltline Assembly - LH (Remove and Install).
  4. Connect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power (Modify).
  5. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  6. Close the powered frunk.
  7. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
