Remove
- Raise and support the vehicle. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
- Remove the LH and RH rear wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
RH side of rear steering actuator to the rear subframe.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm socket

Remove the bolt that attaches the RH
rear tie rod to the rear steering actuator. Repeat this step for the LH rear tie
rod.NoteTurn the wheel to release the rear outer tie rod from the rear steering actuator.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm combination wrench

Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the
LH side of the rear steering actuator to the rear subframe.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm socket
- Remove the LH rear fore fender flare. See Front and Rear Garnish - Rear Fender Flare Fore - LH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH rear aft fender flare. See Front and Rear Garnish - Rear Fender Flare Aft - LH (Remove and Install).
- Remove the LH rear wheel liner. See Wheel Arch Liners - Rear Wheel Liner - LH (Remove and Install).

Remove the bolt that attaches the LH
rear brake line to the upper control arm, and then release the brake line from the
control arm.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket

Remove and discard the nut that
attaches the LH rear upper control arm to the knuckle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket

Place the rear steering actuator aside
for access to the fasteners that attach the LH rear upper control arm assembly to the
body.
NoteRelease the LH rear outer tie rod from the rear steering actuator.

Disconnect the ride height sensor electrical connector.

Remove the nuts (x4) that attach the
LH rear upper control arm to the body, and then tilt the control arm and pivot to remove
it from the vehicle.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 27 mm socket
Install

Position the LH rear upper control arm
into the vehicle, install the nuts (x4) that attach the control arm to the body, and
then connect the ride height sensor electrical connector.CAUTIONUse caution to avoid damaging the ride height sensor.NoteInstall the ride height bracket onto the control arm.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 27 mm socket

Place the rear steering actuator into
position for installation, and then install and hand-start the bolts (x4) to align the
actuator.

Install the bolts (x2) that attach the
LH side of the rear steering actuator to the rear subframe.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm socket

Install the bolt that attaches the LH
rear outer tie rod to the rear steering actuator.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm combination wrench
NotePosition the rear outer tie rod to the rear steering actuator.NoteMake sure the suspension is set at Medium height. -
Install a new nut that attaches the
upper control arm to the knuckle.NoteCounter-hold the joint to install the nut.NoteSupport the suspension to ease installation.NoteMake sure the brake hose is properly routed.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 21 mm socket

Position the LH rear brake line to the
upper control arm, and then install the bolt that attaches the brake line to the control
arm.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 10 mm socket
- Install the LH rear wheel liner. See Wheel Arch Liners - Rear Wheel Liner - LH (Remove and Install).
- Install the LH rear aft fender flare. See Front and Rear Garnish - Rear Fender Flare Aft - LH (Remove and Install).
- Install the LH rear fore fender flare. See Front and Rear Garnish - Rear Fender Flare Fore - LH (Remove and Install).
- Position the LH rear wheel onto the vehicle and install and hand-tighten the lug nuts.

Install the bolts (x2) that attach the
RH side of the rear steering actuator to the rear subframe.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm socket

Install the bolt that attaches the RH
rear outer tie rod to the rear steering actuator.Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
- 18 mm combination wrench
- Install the LH and RH rear wheels. See Wheel Assembly (Remove and Install).
- Remove the vehicle from the lift. See Raise Vehicle - 2 Post Lift.
