Rocker Panel Trim - Rocker Assembly - LH (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Release the clips (x11) that attach the rear of the LH fender flare cover to the vehicle, and then disconnect the electrical connector.

    Note
    Release the fender flare as needed for clearance. Full removal is not required.
  2. Remove the bolt that attaches the front of the LH rocker to the step reinforcement.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  3. Remove the clip that attaches the LH rocker cover to the LH front wheel liner.
  4. Release the clips (x13) that attach the front of the LH rear fender flare cover to the vehicle.

    Release as needed for clearance. Full removal is not required.
  5. Remove the bolt that attaches the rear of the LH rocker to the step reinforcement.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  6. Remove the clip that attaches the LH rocker cover to the LH rear wheel liner.
  7. Remove the bolts (x6) that attach the LH rocker assembly to the LH side ski.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  8. Release the clips (x11) that attach the LH rocker assembly to the rocker carrier, and then remove the rocker assembly from the vehicle.

    Note
    Remove any clips that remained in the carrier.

Install

  1. Position the LH rocker assembly to the rocker carrier, and then secure the clips (x11) that attach the rocker assembly to the vehicle.

    Replace any missing or damaged clips.
  2. Install the bolts (x6) that attach the LH rocker assembly to the LH side ski.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  3. Install the clip that attaches the LH rocker cover to the LH rear wheel liner.
  4. Install the bolt that attaches the rear of the LH rocker to the step reinforcement.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  5. Secure the clips that attach the front of the LH rear fender flare cover to the vehicle.

    Note
    Replace any missing or damaged clips.
  6. Install the clip that attaches the LH rocker cover to the LH front wheel liner.
  7. Install the bolt that attaches the front of the LH rocker to the step reinforcement.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  8. Connect the electrical connector, and then secure the clips that attach the rear of the LH fender flare cover to the vehicle.
