Front Bumper Fascia - Front Fascia (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. On the touchscreen, touch Controls > Suspension > Very High to set the vehicle ride height to Very High.
  3. Place the vehicle into Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  4. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  5. Remove the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
  6. Remove the center applique assembly. See Front Grille and Applique - Front Center Applique Assembly (Remove and Install).
  7. Remove the bolts (x6) and release the clips (x2) that attach the lower valance to the body.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket

    Note
    Release the covers to expose the bolts.
  8. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the front fascia to the body.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket

    Note
    Remove the tow hook covers to expose the bolts.
  9. Release the clips (x4) that attach the front portion of the LH front wheelhouse liner.
  10. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH side of the fascia.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket

    Note
    Pull the wheel liner back for access.
  11. Release the clips (x4) that attach the front portion of the RH front wheelhouse liner.
  12. Release the connector lock and disconnect the electrical connectors (x3), release the harness clip, and then remove the bolt that attaches the RH side of the fascia.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket

    Pull the wheel liner back for access.

    CAUTION
    Do not push down on the locking tab.
  13. Remove the front lower fascia assembly from the vehicle.

    Place the fascia on suitable protective surface.

Install

  1. Install the front lower fascia assembly.

    Note
    Make sure that no electrical harnesses are pinched.
  2. Install the bolt that attaches the RH side of the fascia, connect the electrical connectors (x3) and secure the connector locks, and install the harness clip.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket

    Note
    Pull the wheel liner back for access.
  3. Fasten the clips (x4) that attach the RH wheel liner.
  4. Install the bolt that attaches the LH side of the fascia.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket

    Note
    Pull the wheel liner back for access.
  5. Fasten the clips (x4) that attach the LH wheel liner.
  6. Install the bolts (x4) that attach the front fascia fasteners, and then close the bolt covers.
    4 Nm (2.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  7. Install the center applique assembly. See Front Grille and Applique - Front Center Applique Assembly (Remove and Install).
  8. Install the bolts (x6) and clips (x2) that attach the lower valance to the vehicle, and then close the fastener covers.
    6 Nm (4.4 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  9. Install the frunk assembly. See Frunk Assembly (Remove and Install).
  10. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  11. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  12. On the touchscreen, touch Controls > Suspension > Standard to set the vehicle ride height to Standard.
  13. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
