Remove

  1. Remove the powergate hood. See Powergate Hood (Remove and Install).
  2. Remove the LH front wheel liner. See Wheel Liner - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  3. Release the spring clip that secures the LH powergate strut to the hinge, and then release the strut from the hinge.
  4. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH powergate hinge to the vehicle, and then remove the hinge from the vehicle.
    58 Nm (42.8 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket

Install

  1. Position the LH powergate hinge to the vehicle, and then install the bolts (x2) that attach the hinge to the vehicle.
    58 Nm (42.8 lbs-ft)

    Align the bolt heads to the witness marks before tightening.

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 13 mm socket
  2. Position the LH powergate strut to the hinge, and then install the spring clip that secures the strut to the hinge.

    Note
    Make sure the spring clip is engaged to the strut mount before securing.
  3. Install the LH front wheel liner. See Wheel Liner - Front - LH (Remove and Replace).
  4. Install the powergate hood. See Powergate Hood (Remove and Install).
