Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower all the windows.
  2. Manually latch all the doors to prevent lockout.

    Use a screwdriver to engage the latch.
  3. Put the vehicle in Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  4. Move the LH and RH front seats fully forward.
  5. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  6. Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  7. Remove the front header trim. See Headliner Trim - Front Header Trim (Remove and Install).
  8. Remove the rear header trim. See Headliner Trim - Rear Header Trim (Remove and Install).
  9. Remove the LH and RH mid A-pillar trims. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  10. Remove the LH and RH dash panel quarter panel assemblies. See Dash Panel - Quarter Panel Assembly - LH (Remove and Install).
  11. Remove the LH and RH upper A-pillar panels. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - A-Pillar Upper Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  12. Remove the LH and RH cantrail trims. See Headliner Trim - Cantrail Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  13. Remove the LH and RH 2nd row side bolsters. See 2nd Row Seat Assemblies - 2R Seat Side Bolster LH (Remove and Install).
  14. Remove the LH and RH 2nd row seat back inboard bolsters. See 2nd Row Seat Assemblies - 2R Seat Back Inboard Bolster LH (Remove and Install).
  15. Fold up the 2nd row 60 seat. Repeat this step for the 2nd row 40 seat.

    Note
    Pull tether to release, and then lift up until locked in place.
  16. Partially remove the LH rear primary door seal. Repeat this step for the RH rear primary door seal.
  17. Release the clips (x3) and tabs (x7) that attach the LH lower C-pillar trim to the C-pillar, and then release the trim from the C-pillar. Repeat this step for the RH lower C-pillar trim.

    Starting at door sill, pull upward, and then forward to release.

    Leave trim attached to the seat belt.
  18. Remove the LH and RH C-pillar upper trims. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - C-Pillar Upper Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  19. Remove the LH and RH 2nd row seat shoulder covers. See 2nd Row Seat Back Hardware - 2nd Row Seat Shoulder Cover - LH (Remove and Install).
  20. Remove the LH and RH woofers. See Audio Speakers - 200mm, Woofer, LH, C-Pillar, Audio (Remove and Install).
  21. Remove the rear controller. See Body Controllers - Rear Controller (Remove and Install).
  22. Disconnect the charge port ECU electrical connectors (x3).
  23. Remove the bolt and release the tabs (x2) that attach the charge port ECU to the vehicle, and then remove the ECU from the vehicle.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 8 mm socket
  24. Push the red release mechanism to release the 2nd row center retractor from the LH 2nd row buckle.
  25. Remove the bolts (x6) that attach the 2nd row seat back to the vehicle.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  26. Remove the bolts (x8) that attach the lower 2nd row seat assembly to the vehicle.
    50 Nm (36.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
  27. Remove the bolts (x2) that attach the LH and center/RH 2nd row buckle to the seat assembly.
    40 Nm (29.5 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
  28. Remove the bolts (x4) that attach the 2nd row seat assembly to the structural frame.
    50 Nm (36.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
  29. Remove the LH and RH 2nd row shoulder covers. See 2nd Row Seat Back Hardware - 2nd Row Seat Shoulder Cover - LH (Remove and Install).
  30. With assistance, remove the 2nd row seat assembly from the vehicle structural frame onto lower carpet area.
  31. Release the harness clips (x6) that attach the LH harness to the rear wall.

    Note
    Electrical connectors do not need to be disconnected.
  32. Release the harness clips (x5) that attach the RH harness to the rear wall.
  33. Remove the rear wall NVH pad.

    The NVH pad must be cut to remove it from the HV harness.

    Maneuver the NVH pad to clear the electrical harnesses and studs.

Install

  1. Install the rear wall NVH pad.

    Pass the HV harness through the previously made cut. If installing a new NVH pad, cut to allow the NVH pad to clear.
  2. Fasten the harness clips (x5) that attach the RH harness to the rear wall.
  3. Fasten the harness clips (x6) that attach the LH harness to the rear wall.
  4. With assistance, install the 2nd row seat assembly to the vehicle structural frame.
  5. Install the LH and RH 2nd row shoulder covers. See 2nd Row Seat Back Hardware - 2nd Row Seat Shoulder Cover - LH (Remove and Install).
  6. Install the bolts (x4) that attach the 2nd row seat assembly to the structural frame.
    50 Nm (36.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
  7. Install the rear controller. See Body Controllers - Rear Controller (Remove and Install).
  8. Install the bolts (x2) that attach the LH and center/RH 2nd row buckle to the seat assembly.
    40 Nm (29.5 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
  9. Install the bolts (x8) that attach the lower 2nd row seat assembly to the vehicle.
    50 Nm (36.9 lbs-ft)
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 15 mm socket
  10. Install the bolts (x6) that attach the 2nd row seat back to the vehicle.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)
    7 Nm (5.2 lbs-ft)

    Note
    The upper bolts (x4) are torqued to 9 Nm and the lower bolts (x2) are torqued to 7 Nm.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 10 mm socket
  11. Secure the 2nd row center retractor onto the 2nd LH row buckle.
  12. Position the charge port ECU into the vehicle, and then install the bolt and secure the tabs (x2) that attach the ECU to the vehicle.
    5 Nm (3.7 lbs-ft)

    Align the charge port ECU into cavity.
    Tip: Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • 8 mm socket
  13. Connect the charge port ECU electrical connectors (x3).
  14. Install the LH and RH woofers. See Audio Speakers - 200mm, Woofer, LH, C-Pillar, Audio (Remove and Install).
  15. Install the LH and RH C-pillar upper trims. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - C-Pillar Upper Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  16. Install the LH lower C-pillar trim. Repeat this step for the RH lower C-pillar trim.
  17. Secure the RH rear primary door seal. Repeat this step for the LH rear primary door seal.
  18. Fold down the 2nd row 40 seat. Repeat this step for the 2nd row 60 seat.

    Note
    Pull tether to release, and then pivot down until locked in place.
  19. Install the LH and RH 2nd row seat back inboard bolsters. See 2nd Row Seat Assemblies - 2R Seat Back Inboard Bolster LH (Remove and Install).
  20. Install the LH and RH 2nd row side bolsters. See 2nd Row Seat Assemblies - 2R Seat Side Bolster LH (Remove and Install).
  21. Install the LH and RH cantrail trims. See Headliner Trim - Cantrail Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  22. Install the LH and RH upper A-pillar trims. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - A-Pillar Upper Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  23. Install the LH and RH dash panel quarter panel assemblies. See Dash Panel - Quarter Panel Assembly - LH (Remove and Install).
  24. Install the LH and RH mid A-pillar trims. See A-B-C Positivet Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  25. Install the rear header trim. See Headliner Trim - Rear Header Trim (Remove and Install).
  26. Install the front header trim. See Headliner Trim - Front Header Trim (Remove and Install).
  27. Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  28. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  29. Restore the LH and RH front seats back to their original position.
  30. Exit Service Mode. See Service Mode.
  31. Manually unlatch all doors.
  32. Raise all the windows and close all the doors.
