Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower all the windows.
  2. Remove the LH and RH A-pillar mid trims. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  3. Remove the LH and RH A-pillar lower trims. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  4. Move the LH and RH front seats fully forward.
  5. Fold up the 2nd row 40 seat.

    Pull the tether to release the seat cushion, and then lift up the cushion until locked in place.
  6. Fold up the 2nd row 60 seat.

  7. Remove the 2nd row floor mat.
  8. Partially release the LH lower C-pillar trim. Repeat this step for the RH lower C-pillar trim.

  9. Remove the rear wall lower trim. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - End Item, Rear Wall Lower Trim, Soft Trim (Remove and Install).
  10. Remove the LH and RH lower B-pillar trims. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - B-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  11. Release the clips (x4) that attach the RH duct bezel to the rear carpet. Repeat this step for the LH duct bezel.

  12. Release the HV cabin outlets harness from the foam.

    Slide outwards out of the groove.
  13. Remove the rear carpet assembly from the vehicle.

    Note
    Release the stands around the LH and RH floor ducts, and then release the stands at the center console. Fold back the carpet and stands from the forward edge. Fold the rear carpet and foam forward, and then pull the center of carpet and foam upward to remove the carpet from the vehicle. Remove any clips, if they remain on the HV battery side.

Install

  1. Inspect the backbone harness for any misalignment at the rear ribs and apply anti-abrasion tape if missing.

    Make sure the cable lays flat and is not twisted.

    Apply surface protection at the seam of the rearmost rib under backbone cable if missing. Use black anti-abrasion tape (PN: 1879451-99-A) if available. If black anti-abrasion tape is available, remove the red 3M VHB tape, and then apply the black anti-abrasion tape. If black anti-abrasion tape is not available, apply the red 3M VHB tape (PN: 1879451-00-B) over exposed seams.
  2. Install the rear carpet assembly.

    Secure the center foams and datums. Secure the stands at the center console, and then secure stands around the LH and RH floor ducts.

    Fully tuck the carpet under the risers and trim.

    Replace any missing or damaged clips.
  3. Secure the HV cabin outlets harness to foam.

    Tuck the harness into the groove.
  4. Install the LH duct bezel to the rear carpet. Repeat this step for the RH duct bezel.

    Replace any missing or damaged clips.
  5. Install the LH and RH lower B-pillar trims. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - B-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  6. Install the rear wall lower trim. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - End Item, Rear Wall Lower Trim, Soft Trim (Remove and Install).
  7. Install the 2nd row floor mat.
  8. Secure the LH and RH lower C-pillar trims.

  9. Fold down the 2nd row 40 seat. Repeat this step for the 2nd row 60 seat.

  10. Install the LH and RH A-pillar lower trims. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  11. Install the LH and RH A-pillar mid trims. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  12. Restore the LH and RH front seats back to their original position.
  13. Raise all the windows and close all the doors.
