  1. Open LH front door

  2. Lower LH front window
  3. Raise and support vehicle

    Set air suspension to "Jack Mode"
  4. Connect to vehicle using Toolbox 3.0

    Vehicle OBD II connection is integrated into drivers lower IP cover, Open Toolbox 3 website and establish connection to the vehicle, https://toolbox.teslamotors.com, Select connection status icon at top right corner, and select connect locally (icon will turn green when vehicle is connected)
  5. Select "Actions" and search for "EPB"
  6. Select PROC_EPBL_START-SERVICE-MODESearch for routine in ToolboxStart EPBL Service ModeChassis Chassis, click 'Run', and allow routine to complete

    Chock wheel if necessary, Select ‘X’ at top right of window to close once complete
  7. Select ‘PROC_EPBR_START-SERVICE-MODESearch for routine in ToolboxStart EPBR Service ModeChassis Chassis’, click ‘Run’, and allow routine to complete

  8. Disconnect Toolbox 3 from vehicle and remove laptop
  9. Open powered front trunk

  10. Remove rear underhood apron

  11. Place shop rags underneath brake fluid reservoir
  12. Clean area around brake fluid reservoir and remove brake reservoir cap
  13. Remove LH rear wheel cap

    1x cap, 8x clips, Use both hands to firmly pull wheel cap to release clips, Cap may remove with or without mounting ring attached
  14. Remove RH rear wheel cap

  15. Loosen RH rear wheel nuts

  17. Raise vehicle fully

  18. Remove RH rear wheel

  20. Disconnect EPB harness connector from LH rear brake caliper

  21. Release LH rear brake line from upper control arm

    1x bolt, 10mm, 10 Nm
  22. Remove bolt securing LH rear caliper to bracket

  23. Rotate LH rear caliper upward
  24. Remove LH rear caliper pad return springs

    2x springs, Hold pads first then remove springs, Remove one at a time
  25. Remove brake pads from LH rear caliper bracket

  28. Apply an even layer of Silaramic lubricant to LH rear brake pad contact points and pad guides

  29. Install brake pads onto LH rear caliper bracket

  30. Install LH rear caliper pad return springs

  31. Rotate LH rear caliper downward

  50. Lower vehicle to access frunk area

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered, Keep front suspension components free of contacting ground and surrounding items
  51. Check brake fluid level and top off reservoir if necessary

    If level is above Max line, remove extra fluid
  52. Install brake reservoir cap
  53. Pump brake pedal a few times to ensure pedal feels normal
  54. Remove shop rags from underneath brake fluid reservoir
  55. Install RH rear wheel

  56. Install LH rear wheel

  57. Lower vehicle until tires are touching the ground

    Raise lift off locks, then hold lock release lever to keep locks free while vehicle is lowered
  58. Torque LH rear wheel nuts

  60. Install RH rear wheel cap

    1x cap, 8x clips, Partially secure wheel cap to wheel, While partially installed wheel cover can be rotated to align with tire design, When aligned press inward from center of cap then secure all clips to mounting ring
  61. Install LH rear wheel cap

  62. Install rear underhood apron

  63. Close powered front trunk

  64. Remove vehicle from lift

    Lower rack arms fully and remove them from under vehicle, Remove air suspension from "Jack Mode"
  65. Exit Service Mode

    Via UI > Service > Exit, Press and hold "Exit Service Mode" button
  66. Raise LH front window
  67. Close LH front door
  68. Perform a road test and burnish brakes
