HV Harnesses - Cabin Outlets - High Voltage Harness (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open all the doors and lower all the windows.
  2. Remove the LH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  3. Remove the LH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  4. Remove the 2nd row floor mat from the vehicle.
  5. Fold up the LH 2nd row seat.

    Note
    Pull up the tether to release, and then lift up the seat cushion until it is locked in place.
  6. Release the clip and datum that attach the front portion of the LH lower C-pillar trim.
  7. Move the LH front seat fully forward.
  8. Use a flathead screwdriver to rotate the lock mechanism on the front seat belt linkage counterclockwise to release it from the pretensioner, and then slide the linkage off the pretensioner and set it aside.

    DO NOT rotate clockwise to avoid damage to the mechanism.

    The lock screw will remain in the horizontal position when released.

  9. Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the rear of the LH front seat tracks to the floor panel.
    34 Nm (25.1 lbs-ft)

    Use of the following tool(s) is recommended:
    • Torx Plus T45 socket
  10. Move the LH front seat fully rearward.
  11. Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the front of the LH front seat tracks to the risers.
    34 Nm (25.1 lbs-ft)

    • Torx Plus T45 socket
  12. Move the seat to the middle of track and to the most upright position.
  13. Fold up the RH 2nd row seat.

    Note
    Pull the tether to release, and then lift up the seat cushion until it locks in place.
  14. Release the clip and datum that attach the front portion of the RH lower C-pillar trim to the vehicle.
  15. Move the RH front seat fully forward.
  16. Remove the rear wall lower trim. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - End Item, Rear Wall Lower Trim, Soft Trim (Remove and Install).
  17. Remove the LH subwoofer. See Audio Speakers - 200mm, Woofer, LH, C-Pillar, Audio (Remove and Install).
  18. Remove the tonneau NVH barrier assembly. See Tonneau - Tonneau NVH Barrier Assembly (Remove and Install).
  19. Close the tonneau cover.
  20. Remove the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  21. Disconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  22. Disconnect the HV ancillary harnesses (x2).

    Note
    Release the red locking tab, and then slide open the black lever to disconnect the HV harnesses.
  23. Remove the LH front seat assembly. See Front Seat Assemblies - 1st Row Seat Assembly - LH Drive - LH - Black (Remove and Install).
  24. Remove the center console assembly. See Center Console - Center Console Assembly (Remove and Install).
  25. Remove the LH lower B-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - B-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  26. Remove the bolt that attaches the LH front seat outboard riser to the crossmember.
    35 Nm (25.8 lbs-ft)

  27. Remove and discard the bolts (x2) that attach the LH front seat outboard riser.
    40 Nm (29.5 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Discard the bolts after removal.

    Slide the riser forward, and then lift the riser to clear the crossmember assembly.
  28. Remove the seat riser harness cap from the LH inboard riser.
  29. Remove the nuts (x3) that attach the interior HV harness bulkhead cover.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Pull the harness inside once the cover is released.
  30. Remove the bolt and release the clips (x8) that attach the HV harness to the HV battery.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Remove from slot in EPP. Lift the rear carpet and EPP as required for access.
  31. Release the clips (x5) that attach the HV harness, and then remove the HV harness from the vehicle.

Install

  1. Install the HV harness and fasten the clips (x5).
  2. Install the bolt and fasten the clips (x8) that attach the HV harness to the HV battery.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

    Note
    Remove from slot in EPP. Lift the rear carpet and EPP as required for access.
  3. Install the seat riser harness cap to the LH inboard riser.
  4. Position the LH front seat outboard riser into the vehicle, and then install new bolts (x2) that attach the riser to the vehicle.
    40 Nm (29.5 lbs-ft)

  5. Install the bolt that attaches the LH front seat outboard riser to the crossmember.
    35 Nm (25.8 lbs-ft)

    • 15 mm socket
  6. Feed the harness through the opening in the interior HV harness bulkhead cover, move the cover into position, and then install the nuts (x3) that attach the cover to the vehicle.
    9 Nm (6.6 lbs-ft)

    • 10 mm deep socket
  7. Install the LH lower B-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - B-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  8. Install the center console assembly. See Center Console - Center Console Assembly (Remove and Install).
  9. With assistance, position the LH front seat into the vehicle.

    CAUTION
    Be careful not to damage surrounding components during installation.
  10. Connect the LH front seat electrical connector, engage the black lever, and then engage the yellow locking tab.
  11. Connect the HV ancillary harnesses (x2).

    Slide the black lever to engage, and then push in the red locking tab.
  12. Reconnect MV power. See Disconnect MV Power.
  13. Install the rear underhood apron. See Underhood Trim - Rear Apron Assembly (Remove and Install).
  14. Open the tonneau cover.
  15. Install the tonneau NVH barrier assembly. See Tonneau - Tonneau NVH Barrier Assembly (Remove and Install).
  16. Install the bed floor assembly. See Truck Bed - Bed Floor Assembly (Remove and Install).
  17. Close the tonneau cover.
  18. Close the tailgate.
  19. Move the LH front seat fully forward.
  20. Install new bolts (x2) that attach the rear of the LH front seat tracks to the floor panel.
    34 Nm (25.1 lbs-ft)

    • Torx Plus T45 socket
  21. Install the LH subwoofer. See Audio Speakers - 200mm, Woofer, LH, C-Pillar, Audio (Remove and Install).
  22. Install the rear wall lower trim. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - End Item, Rear Wall Lower Trim, Soft Trim (Remove and Install).
  23. Install the 2nd row floor mat into the vehicle.
  24. Secure clip and datum that attach the front portion of the the LH lower C-pillar trim to the vehicle. Repeat this step for the RH side.
  25. Fold down the LH and RH 2nd row seats.
  26. Install the front seat belt linkage to the pretensioner:
    1. Make sure the lock screw is in the horizontal position. If the lock screw is not in the horizontal position, follow the release instructions to unlock it.
    2. Verify there are no twists in the seat belt from the upper B-pillar trim to the pretensioner.
    3. Install the linkage onto the pretensioner cable.

      The lock screw will rotate back to the locked position.
    4. Perform a firm pull test on the seat belt with at least 15 pounds of force.
  27. Move the LH front seat fully rearward.
  28. Install new bolts (x2) that attach the front of the LH front seat tracks to the risers.
    34 Nm (25.1 lbs-ft)

  29. Install the LH lower A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Lower Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  30. Install the LH mid A-pillar trim. See A-B-C Post Interior Trim - A-Pillar Mid Trim - LH (Remove and Install).
  31. Restore the LH front seat back to its original position.
  32. Raise all the windows and close all the doors.
