Accelerator Pedal (Remove and Install)

Remove

  1. Open the LH front door and lower the LH front window.
  2. Move the LH front seat fully rearward.
  3. Remove the accelerator pedal side trim. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - Pedal - Side Trim (Remove and Install).
  4. Fold back the LH front cabin carpet.
  5. Remove the fasteners (x2) that attach the accelerator pedal to the vehicle, release the connector lock and disconnect the electrical connector, and then feed the extension harness through the carpet to remove the pedal from the vehicle.

    • 13 mm socket

Install

  1. Position the accelerator pedal into the vehicle, feed the extension harness through the carpet, connect the electrical connector and engage the connector lock, and then install the fasteners (x2) that attach the pedal to the vehicle.
    10 Nm (7.4 lbs-ft)

  2. Unfold the LH front cabin carpet into position.
  3. Install the accelerator pedal side trim. See Passenger Compartment Carpet - Pedal - Side Trim (Remove and Install).
  4. Restore the LH front seat back to its original position.
  5. Raise the LH front window and close the LH front door.
